How to make a CamelPhat-style (inspired by their song ‘Panic Room) Reese Bass in 1 minute 🔥

I did this on an analog synthesizer, but you can recreate it on almost any 3 oscillator synth using the same principles.

1️⃣ Set Oscillator 1 to a Saw Wave at -2 Octaves.

2️⃣ Add Oscillator 2 with another Saw Wave at -1 Octave, then slightly detune it.

3️⃣ Add Oscillator 3 (another Saw Wave works great, but feel free to experiment with other waveforms). Set it to -1 Octave and detune it slightly as well.

4️⃣ Add a subtle amount of LFO modulation to the filter. This creates movement and helps bring the sound to life.

5️⃣ Blend in a small amount of White Noise for extra grit and texture.

6️⃣ I forgot to show this in the video, but you can shape the cutoff using the Filter Envelope. Adjust the Decay and Sustain settings to taste—this is where a lot of the character comes from and different synths will have varying parameters.

For digital plugin synths, my preference would be @uheplugins Diva to recreate this.

@liplessofficial, @fin.brookie and @calilasounds come together on ‘Float On’ a warm and emotionally charged collaboration out today 💜

Built around glowing synth textures, fluid grooves and CALILA’s vocal, ‘Float On’ balances intimacy and release with a sense of effortless motion. Lipless brings the refined melodic touch, while Finley Brückner adds his instinct for immersive, resonant sound design.

The track arrives as a luminous and deeply human record crafted for you 🔊 by @liplessofficial
