I simply have no words to adequately convey how much I love these humans. We could not have made it through this weekend without each other. First time producing an event since spinal surgery and while I am definitely sore, it felt so good to be back to doing what I love surrounded by people I adore. Reposting this from a year ago because unfortunately I remain convinced that half the “hysterical women” in history were actually perimenopausal, sweating through their nightgowns and being prescribed arsenic by some man with a mustache.

One year later: no notes. The estrogen patch is doing the Lord’s work, but the Victorian fainting couch remains spiritually necessary. 😂

First big day out since spine surgery, so naturally we made it a proper perfume lady date. 💄🖤

Kayali was cute, Diptyque got a quick drive-by, Sephora gave us absolutely nothing, and Neiman’s finally came through with a few very good sniffs.

Then Metal Lavender by Matiere Premiere happened.

On my skin it turned into poopy diaper and metal, and because the universe enjoys comedy, it would not come off. At all.

But honestly, I wore real clothes, put on makeup, spent the day laughing and smelling perfume with my friend, and felt a little more like myself again.

10/10 day.
0/10 poopy metal diaper.
