According to @marcus.aurelius.stoic, I have found a modern day Antoninus … even, and especially, the last sentences! He’ll share the one bedroom apartment with a half dozen family members as well as refrain from eating & drinking in order to serve in the temple longer. 💓 I’ve never met another like him! Love you, babe! xx taken in San Diego, California by @liqueybrain

My daughter & I were just discussing how much we desire the Spirit to interpret the word rather than “commenters” teaching/selling their interpretations. I instantly realized that’s probably how we get so far away from true doctrine. Alma saw the immense value of feasting on the Word & I am finally realizing how much more enlightened I am when it’s just me, God’s writings and His spirit. Let’s go! xx by @liqueybrain

I have been seeking, for quite some time now, an answer to what I thought was a serious question and I just continued to ask knowing God would answer.

Last week (after slurping up this amazing frozen dragonfruit), I was studying in the Doctrine and Covenants & there it was!

My answer was always there and now I wonder if I’d found it earlier if I was digging in more often.

“We talk to God through prayer.
He most often communicates back to us through His written word…

Don’t yield to Satan’s lie that you don’t have time to study the scriptures. Choose to take time to study them. Feasting on the word of God each day is more important than sleep, school, work, television shows, video games, or social media. You may need to reorganize your priorities to provide time for the study of the word of God. If so, do it!”
