Here are some key principles that I think define liquid dance. This was produced as a result of discussing with @distortion_migz and @fl0st8_ogdarkmatter but I've also drawn help from @rizliquid , @vinhkhoile , @houdoken , and @hm_ymym . My apologies if I've forgotten anyone.

90 seconds isn't a lot of time, but I felt it was important to define liquid by what it IS, rather than what it ISN'T (more on this in a following post)

more from the warehouse :). as well as being a blast to kick it with, fl0st8/shenchi might be the most slept on liquid dancer out there. i feel like only those who have spent considerable time in and around the community really understand the level he's at and how much work he's put in over the years. more people need to realize whats up and hopefully a nice vid or 2 will help change that! i forgot to mention that for his and riz's vids for this shoot i picked the tracks/they never heard them.

A little Liquid footwork from the foothills of Colorado.

I recently had the opportunity to put together a Liquid footwork tutorial for Temple University’s Philadelphia Dance Experience, sharing some of the concepts that have influenced my style over the past 20+ years.

This is the freestyle I closed the tutorial with. Just letting the music take over.

The full tutorial is on YouTube — link in bio.

OK then lfg 😬. A big reason why I wanted to lean more into video is because I want to create a lasting body of work for myself and the best liquid dancers out there. Riz definitely falls under that category and I'm honored to have her on the inaugural post here. Her creativity and authenticity are both highly respected in the community. Really glad i got the chance to visit her a couple weeks ago in Philly. We got to shoot in this amaaazing abandoned warehouse. got a late start to the day so we were shooting for quantity more than quality, however I still like how most the shots came out. More to come in the next week or 2 :). This one was difficult to edit cause of the sun coming in/ out but it's all good... learned me some stuff by @liquiddancers
