⭐️Borat AKA Working Crash Hero: One of the guys behind the legendary record shop @musicmaniagent A true music connoisseur who always brings a unique selection. A one-of-a-kind DJ with impeccable taste — you won’t want to miss this one.

Madlock & Boycot are true veterans of the Belgian drum & bass and jungle scene, with a journey that stretches back to 2003. For the past 15 years, they have also been the driving force behind Liquid Flavaz on Urgent.fm – Belgium’s longest-running drum & bass radio show, giving the scene a voice and providing a platform for both established artists and the next generation of emerging talent.

Their passion for drum & bass runs deep. Beyond the airwaves, Madlock & Boycot are actively involved in promoting the scene through events in their hometown of Ghent, bridging the gap between the foundations of old-school jungle and drum & bass and the sound of the genre today.

Boycot also brings his own production credentials to the table, with releases on respected labels including Symmetry and Midas, among others.

Together, Madlock & Boycot deliver high-energy, no-holds-barred DJ sets that travel across the full spectrum of drum & bass and jungle. From timeless classics and deep cuts to cutting-edge new music, their selections are driven by knowledge, experience and, above all, a genuine love for the genre.

⭐️ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: WORKING CRASH HERO : 🔊

aka Borat, Apartman, a Sous-Sol regular and a true D&B veteran.

He started DJing back in the ’90s and has been a long-standing member of @musicmaniagent staff. A walking music encyclopedia and serious deep digger, his knowledge stretches across several genres and decades.

Back in the day, he became known for his deep, rolling D&B sets, playing across the country — from Antwerp and Brussels, including the legendary Fuse, to major and underground events all over Belgium.

One of the pinnacles of his DJ career? Warming up for LTJ Bukem — and receiving the man’s approval. 🔥

For this special occasion, Borat has been digging deep into his massive vinyl collection to bring you straight back to the golden era of Drum & Bass. 🔊❤️

🔊 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: JUICE BLENDERS : For this special one-off reunion, @nico_juice & @alainmartens are stepping back behind the decks as Juice Blenders — returning to where it all began.

Since 1995, they’ve been part of Ghent’s D&B history, from Sous Sol, Liquid Flavaz and Decadance to the legendary Eskimo parties, Kozzmozz, Dour, 10 Days Off and the first Star Warz.

Alain was also the owner of Fried Chicken Records, a key part of Ghent’s underground music scene and a beloved destination for DJs and vinyl lovers.

They later joined forces with Dobe’n’Daze aka dObiOo for the Mystic nights, sharing line-ups with legends like Goldie, Fabio and Marcus Intalex.

Nico is still very much active as a DJ today, with residencies at Kiosk Radio and We Are Various. He also runs his own party concept, Mo'Juice, and works as a promoter for Democrazy and Club Wintercircus.

Two guys with a serious record collection and an ear for the good stuff. You know this one’s going to be special.

For our 42nd edition we’re going back to Continental on Place de Brouckère 🎊

We’re very happy to come back to Continental because our first party there went well, the workers made us all feel very welcome, we like working with their manager, their soundsystem is good enough to enjoy drum & bass in a bar setting, and several of you told us how much you appreciated their cocktails 🍹

This time it’ll be a classic Drum & Beer session, which will start with Liquid Funk and go to the Deep end of DnB. We’ve chosen to invite artists who’ve supported us since our early days, and who are particularly good at making your ass move 💃🕺

Miss Elorak is the most experienced DJ to play regularly at our parties. We wanted to invite her for our birthday party at La Source and she wasn’t available, but she told us she was eager to play in September, and as she’s one of the best we know to tear the dancefloor to shreds, we had to invite her for this edition 💣💥

Boycot & Madlock played for us at our first party in Café Central, on the 25th of Februari 2023, they were excellent, and we’ve wanted to invite them back ever since. They host the radio show “Liquid Flavaz” on urgent.fm, the radio of the university of Gent, which is Belgium's longest running drum and bass radio show 📻

Cynical Gene is also one of the artists we've invited the most often, and as he's now living in Spain and is coming back to Belgium for a week in September, we had to take up that opportunity to put him on the line up 🎉

MC D-Bro is also a regular at our parties, he's a true don on the mic, and we wanted to reunite him with his good friend Cynical Gene while he was back in Belgium 🫂

Hyrsut has been a regular raver at our parties, but it'll be the first time he performs at Drum & Beer ! We can't wait to hear what he has in store for us.
