HIGHLY RECOMMEND @race_sd the next opportunity you might get to play. If you've ever wondered what a live reality game (LRG) is like or get a taste of what running the Amazing Race might be like, @dbutss puts on the absolute best events! by @liquidnite

I think this makes my.. 4th or 5th team tourney, and it was starting to feel like I was a curse on the teams I had the opportunity to play for b/c even if / when I played well, we would just miss out on playing for finals. This time, I didn't do much scoring points for the team, but my teammates were fantastic. We made it through group round solidly in first to finally be able to play in a finals relay. Lemme tell you.. it was dramatic! We started with a strong lead (roughly 10) but then we were stifled around 50 points and fell into a 30+ point hole. Things were looking bleak, but my teammates kept fighting and cut that lead down and down. When we got to the final anchor matchup, we were only down about 5 pts and ended up winning! Congrats, Team Water! Y'all are amazing! by @liquidnite

Passing along the message:

***Irvine city badminton gym supporters:

Please come to city hall on 1-24-23 (next Tuesday evening) to show you support for the city to build an indoor gym at Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park and tell our city council representatives that we need dedicated badminton courts for all Irvine residents.

This is different from the gym in the Great Park framework plan which may take longer to build.

We need your support and participation to drive our dedicated badminton indoor gym project forward.

If you cannot make it to city hall, please submit an e-comment via this link under item 5.2 for the January 24th, 2023 city council regular meeting:
https://irvine.granicusideas.com/meetings?scope=upcoming

The site is open for e-comment now: https://irvine.granicusideas.com/meetings/2126-city-council-regular-meeting/agenda_items?page=3.

Please make a request to the Irvine city council and city staff to give a priority to permanent indoor badminton courts in this gym. Please get the word out to anyone you know that wants to support this indoor badminton gym project.

Faithfully,
KN Chan

I played a fantastic game of Survivor all day yesterday! Got voted out as 2nd member of the jury. Not a result I was hoping for (unless I was playing actual survivor b/c ponderosa), but had a blast & made a bunch of new friends, which has been a hard thing to do as I've gotten older, with covid, etc etc by @liquidnite

Attention badminton & local (south) OC communities! Please come support and show the city that there IS indeed interest in the sport of badminton so that they will put more resources toward hopefully eventually providing residents with an indoor dedicated badminton facility! by @liquidnite
