POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Now 'Wolf Creek Legacy' is finally in production (YAY!), I reckoned I'd post my 'Wolf Creek' collection.

It is by no means a complete collection, but it's mine and it brings me a lot of joy. The first 'Wolf Creek' (2005) is obviously my favourite (I currently own 17 different copies, and got Mick's silhouette tattooed on my arm) but I also love the sequel, the series and the books. Words can't express how excited I am that we're finally getting a third film 🖤.

Over the years, Greg McLean's (@greg_mclean_) 'Wolf Creek' has become an odd comfort film to me, and it was my gateway to Australian cinema (which I've grown to love and is now a passion of mine).

What draws me most to this film is how it's grounded in realism, which makes it such a bleak and disturbing watch, that crawls under your skin.

John Jarratt (@realjohnjarratt) is truly phenomenal as Mick Taylor, and I can't wait to see him in action again.

To Sean (@sean.lahiff), Greg, JJ and everyone involved in this new film: good luck and have fun! I'm sure it'll be another bloody ripper, I can't wait! 🤠🩸

Something I'll never stop yapping about. Two years ago, this dream came true! 🥹

Traveled to the UK, to meet John Jarratt (@realjohnjarratt) at For The Love of Horror (@ftlohorror) and it was such a magical day 🖤.

He signed a bunch of stuff I brought (my Dark Age laserdisc, Wolf Creek steelbook, and his biography), which made him jokingly say to the rest of the queue "sorry about this, Lisa is taking 20 mins of my time. She brought my whole fucking career in a bag!" 🤣

Additionally, he signed a print with the "nicest" thing Mick Taylor would say: "I'd love to choke your gorgeous fucking neck" 🤭 and he also signed my arm, which I got inked when I got home.

After that we basically had a whole photo session together, with me clinging onto him like a monkey 😅. Luckily he didn't seem to mind, and he was so patient and kind.

During his Q&A panel I got to ask him a question, and he walked towards me while singing my name "Liiisa Lisa Liiisa" 🥹.

At the end of the day, I went back to see him one last time. Told him I knew I was being a lot today, but there were still things I hadn't been able to say to him yet. He leaned in, and we had a private chat. We also talked about some of his older films I loved. During our final hug, he said "it was so lovely to meet you."

Thank you, JJ, for all you are. I will cherish these memories forever 🖤.

Go see this film on the biggest screen possible! For me, Alejandro González Iñárritu's 'DIGGER' is a strong contender of becoming my favourite film of the year.

I initially had no intention of watching this at all, because the trailer didn't resonate with me, but I ended up seeing it twice in IMAX, and I'll gladly go a third time. It's THAT good!

The performances are absolutely fantastic, the writing is brilliant and this whole film is just so impressive on a technical level. Such a unique score too, and one hell of a monologue that lives rent-free in my mind.

As for the trailer, it's deliberately misleading.

People always complain that no original films are being made anymore, yet let films like this flop, which breaks my heart.

I can totally see 'DIGGER' become a cult classic in a few years, and I feel like it's ahead of its time. Yet at the same time, it's a very relevant film, especially for the world we live in now.

Edit: why is my post labelled as possibly made with AI?! NO AI WAS USED IN MY PHOTO. AI can f*ck off.

COMIC CON HOLLAND // Oct 10, 2026

The doctor is here... to bite you? It was super fun meeting Peter Facinelli, and I love the pose we did. A bit awkward to ask for, but he was happy to oblige 🤣 and when he saw our photo on the screen, he was like LOOK AT US! 🫶🏼

COMIC CON HOLLAND // Oct 10, 2026

It was great meeting Scott Patterson! While I absolutely love Gilmore Girls (team Luke!), I mostly had to meet him because he plays Special Agent Peter Strahm in the SAW films.

When signing the sleeve of my SAW vinyl record (which was already signed by Shawnee Smith and Costas Mandylor), we had a good laugh about him taking up a lot of space with his autograph. He also added "don't lose your head xoxo" 🤣

Now playing: François Tétaz - Wolf Creek (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) 🖤

Yes, the liquid-filled vinyl release is insane, but had to get a 'regular' copy as well. This one is the Popcultcha exclusive release, which is pressed on 'backpacker blood & desert sand' coloured vinyl, and limited to 200 copies.

Another gorgeous pressing from Impressed Recordings and it sounds amazing.

Still can't get over this release, and the fact that this soundtrack is finally available on vinyl.

Forever my favourite film 🖤

It's finally here! After years of waiting, the 'Wolf Creek' (2005) soundtrack is finally out on vinyl, and it's such a fantastic release.

Pressed on "blood" liquid-filled vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve and comes with an individually numbered OBI strip as well as a poster. Love how much care went into this release, and I can't wait to finally give this a spin.

Big thanks to Impressed Recordings (@impressedrecordings) 🫶🏼🤠

Probably sounding like a broken record by now, but Greg McLean's 'Wolf Creek' is my favourite film, and I love the score by François Tétaz (@francoistetaz). It's so chilling, yet hauntingly beautiful, and it really sets the tone. It gives me goosebumps everytime.

Now playing: François Tétaz - Wolf Creek (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) 🖤

Still absolutely obsessed with this release, and I can't get over how cool it looks. The sound is surprisingly good, especially for a liquid-filled record, and besides a few pops on side A it's a very quiet pressing too. Incredible.

Happy birthday, Clive Barker 🖤

In 2019, I traveled to Florida, to meet Clive at Spooky Empire and it's still one of my favourite memories. He's such a kind soul, and during the photo op he was worried he had his eyes closed, so he asked the photographer to check if it was a good one.

He also signed my favourite book of his (Cabal), a Hellraiser vinyl record and a portrait I made of him. A moment I will always cherish.

And I can still hear him say "take care, my love" when we said goodbye.

I love you, Clive. Hope you have the best day.

(Yes, I look like a Gremlin in this pic, but I don't care because Clive 🖤)
