Last week, I had the immense pleasure of choreographing Lovemusik for @neglectedmusicals at @belvoirst .
I just LOVE choreographing these pieces- Neglected’s are fly by the seat of your pants, on the edge kinda work. For usually being a perfectionist you have to do what you can in a short space of time and then leave it in the hands of the cast to make it work- they refine and distill the ideas and create something magical.
I’m so appreciative of the opportunity to work with such talented people each time I do one of these- and have the chance to do work I would otherwise not have access to - thank you @michelleguthrie ♥️

Thank you dear @cammitch01 @nathanmarkwright @andrewbevis and all @teatroitalianforum for having meonboard for our short but action packed season of Tootsie. I love being on stage Just. So. Much. and am so grateful for the opportunity (as well as being part of the creative team)

@lisacallingham has spent her life on stage and behind it doing the work.

💫 She’s a true triple-threat performer whose career spans some of Australia’s most loved productions, including A Chorus Line, The Boy From Oz, Pippin, and Menopause The Musical, along with film roles in Starstruck and Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge. These aren’t just credits they’re decades of consistency, craft, and showing up.

She’s shared stages and studios with artists like Marcia Hines, Chrissie Amphlett, @rhondaburchmore , Caroline O’Connor, and Christine Anu, and regularly tours with @officialtoddmckenney , including featuring on his album The Songs of Peter Allen.

What I love about Lisa’s story is that it didn’t stop at performing.

She’s moved into directing and choreography, shaping work for Sydney Theatre Company, The Hayes Theatre, Belvoir, and QPAC stepping into leadership with the same integrity she’s always brought to the stage.

This is exactly why she belongs in Her Voice Impacts.

Because this platform isn’t about hype or reinvention. It’s about women who’ve built something real over time, women whose voices have been shaped by experience, resilience, and staying power.

Last Sunday I wrapped working on and in @prosperoarts production of Sweet Charity. It was a blast. Thank you @cammitch01 for always putting your trust in me and taking me along for these wild rides ❤️ and giving me the opportunity to do what I love to do most- perform.
You did a wonderful job and should be so proud.
Thank you @hayleyjohnson102 and your team for investing in these shows- you’re amazing and so appreciated. Michael Tyack for bringing his incredible talent and patience.
A wonderful cast of new and old faces (and friends)- what a joy that we all got to do this incredible and iconic piece- We are so fortunate!
My beautiful @chloemarshallmusic came up to see the last show and it means the world to me that she was in the audience to support me, as only she can.
Finally, I just want to acknowledge the incredible @loren.e.hunter - What a leading lady… inspiring, humble and just so damn great at what she does. ♥️ by @lisacallingham

So, this time last week we had our last show of our whirlwind little season of The Pajama Game for @neglectedmusicals at The Foundry Theatre.
It’s the third ‘Neglected’ that I’ve worn both hats of Director and Choreographer for and I couldn’t be more proud and happy.
There are countless hours of preparation and planning that go into these shows to make our one day of rehearsal as smooth and productive as possible and when they get on stage with a magical, brave, incredibly talented cast, they are absolutely worth every second. Lucky doesn’t cut it with the cast we assembled for this and having Legend Michael Tyack in our MD role. I loved every minute of the process and can’t thank @michelleguthrie enough for entrusting me with these classic and wonderful shows where I get to be at the helm.

What a difference a week makes!
Closed @menopausethemusical_au last Sunday @statetheatreau then choreographed The Witches of Eastwick for @neglectedmusicals @hayestheatreco_official on Monday…and being a Neglected, closed it yesterday.
I am overjoyed and thankful that I get to work on such a diverse array of shows and with some incredibly talented people- it’s absolutely thrilling.

Last night I had the most incredible opportunity to attend Chloë‘s FEATURE FILM DEBUT at the sold out Sydney Premiere of From All Sides.
Not only does she play Soph in this wonderful and gritty new Australian film, but she has 3 songs (co-written with @ralphmarshall96 and @thetigerwizard ) on the film’s soundtrack.
Seeing her act on the big screen and hearing that incredible voice in the music on that same big screen bought me to spontaneous tears (that were hard to stop). May this be the start of a brilliant trajectory, darling girl. I love you more than life and couldn’t be more proud. Congratulations to the incredible writer/ director/ producer @binafilmmaker - what an inspirational powerhouse you are- you have bought such an important and brilliant film to life. The cast are all fabulous, as was the production of this new Australian story. It will be having a limited release in cinemas and keep an eye out for it on streaming platforms.
