How do you know when your book is really finished?

It sounds like a simple question, but for many Kingdom writers, "done" becomes a moving target they never quite reach. And if we’re not careful, that mindset can bring us out of procrastination and straight into disobeying God.

Here's the problem: some writers release too early, putting work into the world that could’ve used another round of edits. Others never release at all, hiding behind endless revisions because finishing means facing potential criticism. Both extremes keep the world from seeing the work God has given you to release.

So where's the line? And how do you know when you've crossed it?

Join me TUESDAY, October 6th at 3 PM EST for a timely and practical episode of Live with Lisa where we're getting honest about one of the hardest decisions every writer has to make—knowing when to finally let go!

In this session, you'll discover:
✅ What it actually means for your manuscript to be finished
✅ How to tell the difference between necessary edits and perfectionism
✅ Why both rushing and over-revising keep your best work from the world
✅ How to discern when your book is truly ready to be released

Your book was never meant to live on your hard drive forever. Someone is waiting for what God has placed inside of you, and it's time to get it to them.

The book you start writing and the one you finish are never the same book.

Most of us understand that truth as writers, but we’re not prepared when it happens to our book.

For many Kingdom writers, watching their original idea shift, evolve, and sometimes transform completely can feel like something has gone terribly wrong. Characters change. Your audience shifts. The message you thought you were writing becomes something you never expected to say.

When that happens, it can feel like failure. But it’s not. It’s just part of the process.

Join me TUESDAY, September 29th at 3 PM EST for an eye-opening episode of Live with Lisa where we're talking about one of the most misunderstood parts of the writing journey—and how to navigate it without losing your direction!

In this honest conversation, you'll discover:
✅ Why book ideas change—often dramatically—between the first draft and the last
✅ How to embrace the evolution of your story without feeling like you've failed
✅ What to do when your characters, audience, or message shifts unexpectedly
✅ What it really means to trust God's plan for your story over your own

Your original idea was the starting point, not the final destination. And sometimes God has something far greater in mind for your story than what you first imagined.

We don’t talk enough about what finishing your book actually teaches you about yourself.

I'm in the final stretch of my manuscript right now, and I won't pretend it's been easy. It's actually been one of the most revealing seasons of my writing journey. And I think what I'm learning is something every Kingdom writer needs to hear before they get here.

Because finishing a book exposes more than just your writing. It exposes YOU.

Join me TUESDAY, September 22nd at 3 PM EST for an honest and personal episode of Live with Lisa where I'm pulling back the curtain on what the final stretch of my manuscript is really teaching me!

In this raw and real conversation, you'll discover:
✅ What finishing a book reveals about your process, your identity, and your calling
✅ How hidden beliefs you didn't know you were still carrying can show up in the final stretch
✅ The tension between the writer you want to become and the one you are right now
✅ What it really means to carry a God-given assignment all the way to completion

This isn't theory. It’s what happens when a Kingdom writer stops talking about finishing, and actually does it.

When did writing start feeling like a chore instead of a gift you get to use for God’s glory?

For many writers, it doesn’t happen overnight. Somewhere between staring at a blank document, wrestling with self-doubt, and the pressure you feel to get every word just right, the joy of writing can quietly fade over time. And before you know it, the book God called you to write starts feeling like a burden instead of a privilege.

But God didn't give you a writing assignment to make you miserable. He gave it to you because He built you specifically for it.

Join me on TUESDAY, September 1st at 3 PM EST for an honest and refreshing episode of Live with Lisa where we're talking about how to find your way back to the joy of writing!

In this conversation, you'll discover:
✅ What quietly steals the excitement from your writing process
✅ How to reconnect with your love of writing once you've lost it
✅ What it actually looks like to consistently enjoy writing your book

✍🏾 What if finishing your first draft faster isn’t about becoming more disciplined, but changing the way you approach writing altogether?

For years, I thought I just wasn’t focused enough on writing, but no matter how hard I tried to finish my books, the process was always frustrating, overwhelming, and agonizingly slow.

It was so bad that each of my rough drafts took me SEVEN YEARS to finish.

Today? I can finish a draft in about four months.

So… what changed?

Join me for “Live with Lisa” on Tuesday, August 25 at 3 PM EST — streaming live on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook (Our Given Purpose) — for:
“How I Went From Taking 7 Years to Write a Draft to 4 Months”

In this honest and practical conversation, I’m breaking down:
🔹 What kept me stuck in the writing process for YEARS
🔹 The specific changes that completely transformed the way I write
🔹 Why structure, direction, and knowing your “why” matter more than simply trying harder
🔹 What Kingdom writers can learn from my mistakes to move their own manuscripts forward faster

If you’ve been working on the same manuscript for months—or even years—and wondering why you still can’t seem to finish it, this conversation is for YOU.

You may not need more discipline.

You may just need a writing process that actually works for you.

🗓️ Tag a writer who needs to hear this, grab your notebook, and join me live!

What if the writing advice you've been following is actually the reason you're still stuck?

Not all writing advice is bad. But not all writing advice is for YOU. And following the wrong kind—even advice that sounds helpful, looks credible, and comes from successful writers—can keep you frustrated, confused, and spinning your wheels for years.

I know because I've been there.

Join me TUESDAY, August 18th at 3 PM EST for a refreshingly honest episode of Live with Lisa where I'm sharing the years I spent following writing advice that simply wasn't right for my journey—and what I learned on the other side.

In this candid conversation, you'll discover:
✅ Why good writing advice isn't always the RIGHT writing advice for you
✅ How to discern which strategies actually serve your specific process
✅ Why building your writing habits around someone else's blueprint can hold you back
✅ How to establish a writing process rooted in YOUR God-given assignment

Your calling is unique. Your process should be too. It's time to stop following someone else's blueprint and start building one that's anchored in who God called YOU to be.

What separates Kingdom writers who finish their books from the ones who stay stuck?

It's not just technique. It's not just talent. And it's not just time.

It's how they THINK.

The Kingdom writers who consistently write, finish, and publish over time have learned something that most writers overlook entirely—they've adopted the identity of a writer. And that shift in thinking changes everything about how they show up for their God-given assignment.

Join me on TUESDAY, August 11th at 3 PM EST for a powerful and practical episode of Live with Lisa where I'm breaking down the five mindsets that define successful Kingdom writers!

In this session, you'll discover:
✅ The 5 core beliefs that separate writers who finish from writers who stay stuck ✅ How each mindset directly impacts your writing journey
✅ Why adopting the identity of a writer matters as much as mastering the craft ✅ How to cultivate each mindset no matter where you are in your process

Mindset isn't everything, but when you're trying to fulfill your calling, thinking like a Kingdom writer can make all the difference.

What would it feel like to finally know EXACTLY how to get your book from idea to finished manuscript?

No more guessing. No more starting over. No more losing momentum in the middle and wondering why finishing feels impossible.

Here's the truth: most Kingdom writers don't struggle to finish their books because they lack talent or calling. They struggle because they never had a clear roadmap to follow. And when you're making decisions on the fly with no structured process, losing momentum isn't a matter of if—it's a matter of when.

Join me on TUESDAY, August 4th at 3 PM EST for a practical and empowering episode of Live with Lisa where I'm laying out the complete writing journey from start to finish—step by step!

In this session, you'll discover:
✅ Every stage of the writing journey from first idea to finished manuscript
✅ What to focus on in each phase so you never feel lost or stuck
✅ How to build a structured writing process that carries your book all the way to completion
✅ The roadmap that eliminates guesswork and keeps your momentum strong

This is the episode Kingdom writers who are serious about finishing have been waiting for. No gaps. No guesswork. Just a clear, actionable process built specifically for you.

Motivation got you started on your writing journey. So why can't it keep you going?

You know the feeling. You're fired up, focused, and making great progress on your manuscript—for a few days or weeks. Then the spark fades, the momentum slows down, and no matter what you try, you can't seem to get those creative gears turning again.

Here's what many writers won't tell you: motivation was never meant to be your entire strategy. If you really want to finally finish your story, you need something a lot more practical.

Join me TUESDAY, July 28th at 3 PM EST for a perspective-shifting episode of Live with Lisa where we're breaking down why motivation alone will never make you a consistent writer—and what actually will!

In this session, you'll discover:
✅ Why chasing motivation can keep you stuck in an inconsistent cycle
✅ What a sustainable writing system actually looks like for Kingdom writers
✅ How to move your manuscript forward even on days when you don’t feel like writing
✅ The shift that separates writers who finish books from those who don't

Consistency isn't about feeling inspired. It's about having the right system in place and partnering with God in the process.
