Three silhouettes from an unforgettable journey.

A little creative editing brought a whole new mood to this one.

Special thanks to @cornejophotography for sharing your Lightroom magic, creative insight and always being such an encouraging mentor 💜✨.

This image is also available as a fine art print in my shop, if you’d like to bring a little bit of the wild home. Link in bio.

Getting back in the air!

I’ve been an FAA-certified drone pilot since 2022 but it’s been quite a while since I put that perspective to work. I’m changing that.

These views of Lake Mirror in Lakeland are from one of my first flights and a reminder of how much I love seeing and photographing places from above.

The first three images were captured by drone and the last one from my phone on the ground.

Here’s to flying more, creating more, and seeing familiar places from a new perspective.

What’s a place you’d like to see from above?

I’m so excited to finally share a collection of some of my favorite photographs from around the world – moments of beauty, wonder, culture, and wild places that have stayed with me long after I pressed the shutter.

From a quiet moment beneath an archway in Guatemala, to an elephant moving through the tall grasses of Zimbabwe, moonlight waves breaking along Florida’s Gulf Coast, and the beautiful architecture and everyday life of Morocco - each photograph holds a memory and a story.

And now they’re available in fine prints 🤍 Link in bio.

A portrait from the bush. Does anyone else vacillate between color and black & white? The first frame captures the lush greens of the wild, while the second isolates the raw texture of this giant with a monochrome vignette. Which perspective do you prefer?

Some mornings ask for nothing more than stillness.

From color to grayscale the view stays the same, but the feeling changes. Calm water, quiet skies, and a single bird reminding me to slow down 💜.

Sometimes a photograph holds more than a moment, it holds a memory.

I made this image not long after the world began opening up again. After months of staying close to home, I packed up my car and started driving from Florida to Virginia, chasing beaches, sunrises, sunsets, and the chance to see wild horses.

Do you remember the first place you went when you were finally free to travel again?

Hello and welcome to Lisa Dean Studios 💗.

I’ve spent years photographing places, wildlife and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. After a long time talking myself out of it, I’ve decided it’s finally time to build a life centered around creativity, photography, and storytelling.

Here you’ll find:

📸 photography from my travels and local adventures
🦅 wildlife and nature images
🎨 before and after edits
💡 photography tips and lesson I’m learning along the way
🌎 stories from the road and the people and places that inspire me

I’m glad you’re here and I hope my images encourage you to slow down, look a little closer and see beauty in the every day.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but keep talking yourself out of?
