For the past few weeks, I’ve heard a consistent message in church: don’t keep your testimony to yourself.

I’ve never shared mine publicly before, but today I finally am.

It’s not a dramatic story of hitting rock bottom. It’s a story of God’s grace, His patience, and the moment I truly surrendered my life to Jesus.

If my story points even one person to the hope that’s found in Christ, then it’s worth telling.

Jason. It’s been one year since I got the call. Never an anniversary to be celebrated but a day to remember. One year from the day I will never forget dropping to my knees and screaming in anguish at the news that you had died. I still hear your voice filled with laughter as you call “shenanigans” to my wild stories. I still expect to see your face in the stands at Howser Stadium every time I walk through the gates. I still get the calendar reminders every Friday morning that our weekly lunch zoom date is at 1:00. Anytime I learn about a new beer, you’re still the first person I think of to share it with. I wish I could talk with you about our new baseball coach. I wish my phone would chirp at 5:15 am because you knew I was awake and always ready to share a verse or a quote with you. I own no copyright to grief…we all feel it so profoundly. You have left such an indelible mark on all of our lives. Tonight at RMC Work Camp, the message was about finding contentment where you are while trusting God to lead you where He wants you to be.

Can you imagine trying to find contentment in prison? Or peace in all that noise? I can’t imagine the challenges these men face behind the fences, but I do know this: the hope of Christ is just as powerful there as anywhere else.

Tonight was one of those evenings that makes you pause and thank God for what He’s doing behind prison walls.

We returned to Lowell Correctional Institution Work Camp and welcomed 77 women to worship and hear God’s Word. The growth has been incredible. When I first started visiting this facility, I remember having around 25 women in attendance. Tonight, the room was so full that the tables had to be pushed to the sides so rows of chairs could be set up—and nearly every seat was filled. Watching God draw more and more women each week is something we never take for granted.

We continued Pastor’s Songs We Sing series, focusing on “The Lord Will Provide” and Philippians 4:11–13. The message challenged us to find contentment in Christ rather than in our circumstances and to trust that God will faithfully provide for every need.

What touched me most was hearing how deeply the women related to the message. Many shared how incarceration has stripped away so much of what they once depended on, yet in that place they’ve discovered that God truly is enough. They spoke about learning to be content with less and finding a peace that only He can give.

It’s a beautiful reminder that God often does some of His deepest work when everything else has been taken away. Thank you to everyone who prays for this ministry. Tonight at the RMC Work Camp was one of those evenings that will stay with us for a long time.

We began our new Songs We Sing series with Evidence by Josh Baldwin, looking at the evidence of Jesus Christ in our lives. After the message, we talked about what it means to truly encounter God—that when we genuinely meet Him, our lives cannot remain the same. Real faith produces real change.

As our final worship song began, Chris invited anyone who believed tonight marked a turning point in their walk with Christ to come forward and pray together.

What happened next was unforgettable.

Men rushed to the front. It wasn’t hesitant or forced. They came quickly, eager to seek the Lord. Nearly every man in the room gathered together—praying, worshiping, praising God, and encouraging one another. It was a beautiful picture of God’s Spirit moving among His people.

We had 36 men in attendance, and 14 men raised their hands to indicate either a first-time surrender to Jesus Christ or a recommitment of their lives to Him.

Over the past several months, we’ve had the privilege of watching God transform this group of men. They are becoming more than attendees at a weekly service—they are becoming a family of believers, our brothers in Christ, growing together in faith and pointing one another toward Jesus.

Tonight wasn’t about emotions or numbers. It was about the unmistakable evidence of God at work in hearts and lives.

Tonight, God allowed us to serve at both Lancaster Main Unit and Lancaster Work Camp. A total of 63 men attended the services, and we celebrated one salvation!

At the Work Camp, 32 men attended and were incredibly grateful for the soap and deodorant donations.

At the Main Unit, 31 men attended. In an unexpected turn of events, a small group of Jewish men who were meeting in another room heard about the hygiene items and chose to stay for our entire service. They were respectful, engaged in the discussion afterward, and several men joined in the closing prayer.

Tonight, 65 women at Lowell Correctional Institution Work Camp joined us for worship as we watched “Seen By The Savior” by Pastor Matt Carter from Church Of Eleven22 as the Voices 2026 series continues. This powerful message brought the beautiful reminder that there is no sin in our past, present, or future that is greater than the love and grace of God through Jesus Christ.

The greatest joy of all: six women made decisions to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior tonight. Heaven rejoices over every one of them, and so do we.
