So grateful to have been at the opening night @seattleaaff with @jonchiang! What an honor to have Spring After Spring as the opening night feature of the festival! It was also the film's U.S. premiere! It's always a new experience watching the film with a new group of people and I'm always so appreciative of people sharing their time with us in a very busy world. Thank you so much to the Seattle community for sharing your stories with me about family, grief, cultural traditions, and the American experience. One of the best things that has come from this film, is the chance to meet people and hear about what the film brings up personally in them. My mother's dance company did a few performances in Seattle and it was so great to have the film shown in what has always felt like our sister city. Thank you Seattle! ❤️And thanks to @sonya.chong.9 for riding along across the border! 🙏 by @lisaho180

We are so excited to announce Spring After Spring will be part of the Opening Night Gala at Seattle Asian American Film Festival this Friday, May 29 ! @seattleaaff We are so excited to share this film with our American friends! Spring After Spring has also received 5 Leo Award Nominations! - Best Feature Length Documentary- Best Cinematography - Peter Planta- Best Picture Editing - Coline Debray- Best Sound - Matt Drake, Sharon Tseng (adding you too @RamsayPictures!) - Best Musical Score - Caleb and Brian Chan aka Chan BrosMany congrats to director @jonchiang and the entire creative team for bringing this story to life! by @lisaho180

I just wanted to give our VAD grads their flowers!💐 @vancouveracademyofdance It's been quite a journey putting a dance together for dancers with different specialties and skill sets. They were asked step outside themselves in trying something new and have soaked it all in. They just completed their last competition of the regular season. That being said they have won a special award at every competition they've attended this Year!The One- River Rock- Choreography View Edmonton- "Honesty In The Comedy"The One- Coquitlam - Most Entertaining Dance Power Burnaby- "Complete Caffeine Commitment"Special thanks to our legendary pro @diana.kaarina for being our acting coach! And to @msveeproductions for the assistant choreo for the boys! We were also so fortunate to have the help of the Tookey family @shelleysdancecompany in Edmonton that supplied our set pieces when we had to compete in Edmonton! I don't know what I would have done without them! Thanks to all our friends who have helped our grads to have a great send off year. Including parents and grandparents who have stepped in with any help we needed! And of course congrats to the VAD grads! I hope you keep trying something new. This is 7! My boy is getting bigger, stronger and smarter every day! We are learning together daily as mom and first child do. ❤️ He's into MJ these days and picking up the moves! He's is a loving brother and so sweet when there isn't an argument about the type of music on in the car. 😂 Love you my boy! by @lisaho180

Here is a sneak peak of the Maria Mimie Ho Foundation in the 2026 Spring Festival Parade, which took place Feb 22, featuring choreography of @anabelho.vad and @lisaho180!! The rain did not stop us or the spectators! Many thanks to our participants which included students and alumni of the Vancouver Academy of Dance, alumni of Strathcona Chinese Dance Company, and friends of the MMho Fdn! Like Mimie, and in the spirit of the horse, they showed great fortitude and resilience through challenging weather conditions. If you watched the @knowledgenetwork documentary, Spring After Spring, you may have wondered about @msveeproductions returning for the parade this year. She made it back as our trusty technical director!! It's quite the challenge putting a moving show on the outdoor road. Thank you to the company of @ephratasheriedance that made adjustments to their show Shadow Cities, to accommodate Ms.Vee's absence! 🙏 Lastly many thanks to the MANY volunteers of MMHo Fdn that help us out on this special day. It takes a lot of coordinating to make this happen. Thank you for your time and dedication to our cause! A final shout out to Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association, Chinese Benevolent Association of Vancouver, SUCCESS, Shon Yee Benevolent Association, and Chinese Freemasons Vancouver Branch, for organizing the Spring Festival Parade, and showcasing Vancouver's historic Chinatown!! It's official! Spring After Spring is available to stream in Canada online on the Knowledge Network app which you can add on any smart device or tv! You can also catch our last theatre screening in Feb today, or additional dates in March at the VIFF Centre in downtown Vancouver! Thank you to Chinatown Storytelling Centre for hosting our community screening of Spring After Spring! It was so meaningful to gather with old friends, family, former students of Mimie, and new friends we made on the day. To experience our mom's story where so much of it began, was so special. Thank you to everyone that came to spend their afternoon with us. It was so lovely to hear your thoughts and personal connections to Mimie or the film.
