FINALLY GOT MY OLLG MOMENT 💜💜

From a ravioli-making workshop, to blindly following the girls to “run their many errands”, to getting my car locked at the mosque because we left it there from Zohor to AFTER Isya’ 💀 the girls have made me hard bellylaugh every single step of the way. 🥹

Sometimes I think about how I almost retracted my Northumbria application all those years ago, and how easily I could’ve missed out on this chaotic, wonderful bond. HAHAHA no, don’t imagine it 🤨

We’re soOooo far from the uni girls we once were, but I’ve loved every season of life we’ve shared since. Thank you for always being there for me. I’ve never felt lonely with you girlies around, and I genuinely can’t imagine doing life without you.

Alhamdulillah for one tiny decision that led me to you girls. Huwaaaaa so so so grateful for this friendship 😭😭 tak sabar nak celebrate all the milestones to come. I love you so so much

Writing this right after reading their letters either makes it easier to get the words out, or worse because I can’t see past the tears. HAHAHA 😭

But gosh, the friendships I’ve found through climbing have been some of the greatest blessings this sport has given me.

Thank you for holding my hand through some of my hardest seasons and helping colour my life back into what it is today. I think love, especially between women, lives so much in the little things.

It’s knowing I’ll order the strawberry milkshake from Pinch’s kids menu. Temaning me for climbs. Coaxing me into a route they know I’ll love while still going, “careful your ankle ah.” Keeping me updated because they know I WILL get fomo. And knowing we can go a while without talking, sit back down, and immediately get into all the tea.

AND THEY BAKED THE CAKE THEMSELVES!!!! THE LABOUR OF LOVE, I CANNOT 😭

Alhamdulillah, life keeps reminding me what true love looks like.

Man… how do you even fit 4 years into 20 slides? 🥹

Somehow, between thousands of Slack messages, allllll the campaigns, way too many meetings, random pantry conversations, inside jokes, and a camera that somehow ended up pointing at me more often than I expected… these 4 years flew by.

People always say work is work. You clock in, get the job done, and go home.

Maybe that’s true. But I’m really glad my experience was so much more than that.

Turns out, the things I’ll remember most aren’t the campaign launches or content shoots. It’s all the little moments in between. The random chats, the silly convos that somehow got me through the day, and the people who made even the busiest days a lot more fun. 🥹

And thank you for caring enough to make my ridiculous McFarewell dream come true. I couldn’t have asked for a better sendoff. 🥹🍟

The fact that I got coaxed into signing up for CULTRA ✨still feels ridiculous✨ but all jokes aside, even in a baby category, I am genuinely so proud of myself for doing this.

Thank you @addmerian for being so patient through all the pre-race meltdowns (yes, I cried on our walk to the starting line 🤡) and for calling me out every time I insisted, “This really doesn’t mean anything to me because I HATE running.”

He was right, it did mean a lot to me.

(There was also a promise to run with me on race day… but apparently his legs were aching too bad after his 60km the day before. MmmmmHhhHhMmm 🤷‍♀️)

And to the real athletes on this trip, who were out there smashing distances way beyond mine, yet still hyped me up, checked in on me, and celebrated my finish just as enthusiastically… thank you 🥹

I don’t know if I’ll ever become a runner, but if every race comes with people like this… then maybe, MAYBE, I’ll sign up for another one. (I’ll probably regret saying that) by @lisaizhar

This get-together really hits sooo different. 🥹 And i’m just here trying to put together a carousel to remember the weekend, but somehow I keep finding myself in tears instead.

Ugh. These girls… gosh, these girls.

You’ve been there through every version of me. Somehow you’ve always known exactly what I needed, even when I didn’t.

AND THIS WEEKEND, you somehow made my little glass artist dreams come true!!!!! And I know it’s such a small thing in the grand scheme of everything, but maybe that’s exactly it. Love has always looked like this with you girls. Paying attention, remembering the little things and turning passing comments into real memories. And always with a little chaos and whimsy.

Never thought I’d be celebrating my own bachelorette one day. Funny how life has a way of working itself out.

Looking through these photos brought everything back. The laughs, the little moments, and all the effort that went into making this weekend happen. Thank you somehow feels too small 🥺

Yelled when I saw the cake. Yelled even louder when I realised it was for me. Miraaaa, you absolutely nailed the brief. 🤍

Right after getting scrubbed and showered down by a strong petite lady ✨ i can’t tell if I’m traumatised or relaxed.

Nineteen years of knowing these girls, and somehow we still fall into the same old habits of bickering like we’re back in highschool.

Life looks very different now. We’re all busy with work, relationships, families, and building lives of our own. We don’t get to see each other as often as we used to, but somehow we always pick up right where we left off.

Been a week of fiancéism and I’m still giggling, kicking my feet under the table like a little girl.

I don’t remember much leading up to the day except my family being so patient with all my mini meltdowns, my friends literally stepping in to sit me down (because apparently blush and lipstick “aren’t enough” for an event), loved ones who showed up with so much love in so many ways, and a now-fiancé who stayed through every panic and tear. HAHA.

I also don’t remember much of the day itself… so I’m keeping this here as proof that it happened.

All that to say, it’s been a week… and I’m very, very happy to be fiancéd 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ by @lisaizhar
