Opening luncheon yesterday at LACMA for the new David Geffen Galleries designed by Peter Zumthor—a breathtaking feat spearheaded and shepherded by the one and only Michael Govan who is as much a treasure to Los Angeles as this new building and all the artwork contained therein. I was so blown away by the architecture & art (and meeting Werner Herzog) that I didn’t take many proper photographs. Return visits to come. What a day!
