🍎 Not All Fruit Hangs Low.

In sales, we often talk about “low hanging fruit.” The easy wins, established relationships, and opportunities that seem to close themselves.

Sometimes even the biggest fish in the sea can be low hanging fruit.

But there’s something to be said for the people willing to climb a little higher.

The ones building relationships from scratch, navigating challenges, hearing “not right now,” and showing up again tomorrow.

At the end of the day, no matter the industry, business comes down to numbers, data, revenue, and results. And those things matter.

But so do the people behind those numbers.

The persistence. The creativity. The relationships. The effort that doesn’t always show up on a spreadsheet.

Not every contribution produces immediate results, and not every success tells the whole story.

So here’s to everyone showing up, whether you’re closing the biggest deal, chasing the toughest opportunity, supporting someone else’s success, or planting seeds that may take years to grow.

You matter. Your contributions matter. And your efforts deserve recognition.

🍎 Some pick the fruit. Some climb the tree. Some plant the seeds.

It takes all three to grow something worthwhile.

Sometimes we don't know how tired we really are until we stop and look in the mirror.

I took all these (different) pictures tonight to see if I was as tired as I thought I was.

No filter, no editing, no good angles. Turns out these show exactly how tired I really am. 👀

That got me thinking. We burn the candle at both ends, and we can only do that for so long. Yet, sometimes the candle we think we’re burning, ends up not being the candle we thought it was. 👀

It’s the people, situations, and lack of trust, support, respect, boundaries, communication, etc. that get to us!

The truth is, some of the heaviest tiredness doesn't come from doing too much. It comes from carrying too much.

👉Carrying other people's situations.
👉Carrying expectations.
👉Carrying other people’s fears.
👉Carrying the effort of believing in people, and trusting them, when they don't always believe in you or trust you back, let alone have your back.

That's exhausting.

I'm reminding myself what I remind all of you: “stay in your own cup” (lane).

1. We have to let people help themselves, we can’t save people from their own choices.

2. We can only be disappointed if we have expectations. There's a difference between expecting something from people, and trusting that they are who they say they are.

3. You think you know someone, until they show you who they are.

4. Our value, truths, and our authenticity is not determined by others people’s inability to see past themselves, therefore their expectations.

5. We know our truth, even if other people don’t see it or know it. Their truth is their karma to carry, not yours.

If you're tired today, you're not weak, you’re human.

A few things keep hitting me tonight: let go of the people who disappoint you, trust what people do, not what they say (although what they say is also very telling), allow yourself rest, release and lay down what isn't yours to carry. 🤍

Saturday together we did readings, art fairs, mailed @yarn.andlove blankets, and did grocery shopping.

We did a new rebuild on our amazing new app (soon to be released) Who’s Driving for Android and Apple. I wrote, designed and built it myself and it’s amazing!!! 🤩 I can’t wait for you to see it!

We BBQ’ed, baked cookies, and made fresh bagels from scratch. 💫

It’s Sunday now … maybe today we just do readings and cozy up in the Las Vegas rain.

I hand knitted this blanket for my friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer.

I’m sending it to her with so much love. 💗

As I made it, I kept thinking about how a simple strand of yarn becomes something beautiful. Loop by loop, knot by knot, it becomes a blanket that can wrap around someone and keep them warm.

What a metaphor for life.

Life gives us knots we never asked for. Things we can’t untangle or make sense of.

Somehow, someway, we find a way to keep going, weaving love and care into whatever comes next.

Making something beautiful doesn’t erase the hard parts. But there can still be warmth, connection, and love right there in the middle of them.

I can’t take away what my friend is facing. But I can send her something made by my hands, with love in every stitch.

Pondering on “Earth School”.

I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about “Earth school.” The idea that we come here to learn lessons.

I always ask, “If we’re all knowing ‘beings’, why would we need to come here to learn what we already know”?

So, are we actually all knowing? 🤔 Coming from an all knowing source doesn’t necessarily mean we, individually within our humanity, know everything.

Being here and connected to something greater doesn’t mean we have its whole perspective.

That would leave room for us to continue to grow, too. 🤔

So, it leaves room for discovering something we didn’t understand before (about our humanity). Also, for having an experience that changes HOW we see ourselves and each other.

When we call every thing that happens to us (within our humanity), “a school” that makes us feel like every hardship is a test we’re supposed to pass.

I don’t believe every painful thing needs to be labeled a lesson. Sometimes something hurts, and we need room to feel that without searching for the spiritual “homework assignment”. Maybe we’re just supposed to experience it, without labeling it.

Two things can be true: learning and remembering can both be part of why we’re here.

We can remember our connection to love, while learning how to express it in a very human world.

We can know compassion matters, and still discover how difficult it is to practice that when we’re reactive, angry or afraid.

We can remember our connection to our beliefs, and at times feel lonely and separate from them.

We can understand trust and faith, while still struggling (at times) to have trust and faith in our journey.

For me, the questions are less about whether we knew everything before we arrived, and more about what our experiences enable us to do, NOW.

Will we become more understanding?
More honest with ourselves?
More willing to come from love without abandoning ourselves?

Maybe that’s evolution?

What we experience becomes part of how we grow, and how we grow changes what we bring to the world. When we bring good things to the world, we’re evolving into something better than we are today.

Cancer sucks. There’s really no prettier way to say it. 💔

One of my very good friends from day job #1 was just diagnosed with breast cancer, and I hate this for her so much. 😭

When someone you love gets news like this, you want to DO something. You want to fix it, take it away, and make it better!

But you can’t!

So you just find a way to remind them that they are loved, that they are thought about, and they’re not going through this alone. 💗

I knew exactly what I wanted to surprise her with from my @yarn.andlove creations.

Something handmade, wrapped in love, and created especially for her.

As a medium, I talk a lot about how love doesn’t end. I think we also need to remember to SHOW that love while we’re all still here.

So, I’m making a little extra time, to send love to my beautiful friend, because at the end of the day…

LOVE and (coziness) always wins. 💗
