I’ve been busy working on my goals, setting new ones, having fun and just trying to become the best version of myself while learning as many life lessons as I can along the way. One thing I’ve realized recently is that you can be one version in someone’s story and a completely different version in another’s. It all comes down to perspective — and some people’s perspectives are so fixed that they can’t see beyond their own thinking.

I’ve also learned that there’s nothing truly meaningful about just being “nice.” Being nice often just means you’re playing it safe. What really matters is being kind — because kindness requires depth, involvement, and intentionality that goes beyond surface-level pleasantries.

For me, I like to dive into the complexities of how the mind works and how it dictates our behaviors. That helps me find meaning behind people’s actions and, more importantly, see motives that they may not even recognize in themselves. Over the years, I’ve become a strong and accurate reader of people. And I’ve noticed something: the same people who trust you when you agree with them are often the first to turn on you the second you question their agenda. That, to me, shows they were never real from the start.

I see it all the time — people walking around with a toddler-like mindset, ruled by their own egos. They want to be validated, not challenged. They crave control but can’t handle accountability. Their identity is so fragile that the smallest crack of truth feels like an attack. And that’s when their ego throws the tantrum. taken in New York City by @lisalan333

Lesson of the Day:
When you do well and mean well, some will twist your intentions to help into something personal or as a threat. That’s not your karma—it’s theirs.

In the workplace, high performers often face resistance from those who feel insecure. They’ll try to dim your light or even keep you out of the loop

But here’s the truth: real energy can’t be dimmed—it transforms. Every attempt to hold you back only fuels momentum. Greatness can’t stay hidden, and no shadow can block a true light.

Because real leaders and teammates don’t need to dim others to shine they know shared light only shines brighter and I’ll always try to be the kind of person that people wish they had in their life - until ‘be careful what you wish for’ comes into play Because what they wished for wasn’t truth they just wanted. A yes man And not everyone’s ego is ready for the kind of truth that comes with a real perosn ✨ taken in New York City by @lisalan333

Weekly Reminder:
Whether you’re leading a team, a project, a household, or a relationship — language is one of the most powerful tools you have. How we speak reveals how we think, how we lead, and how we relate to the people around us.
Language is not just communication — it’s culture, it’s connection, and it’s leadership.
Language is more than just communication — it’s a form of energy.
It can build trust or break it. Create safety or tension. Invite collaboration or cause division. The way we speak — the tone we choose, the words we use — shapes the space we’re in, whether that’s a meeting room or a conversation among friends.

There’s a difference between authenticated language and ego language:
	•	Ego language sounds like “my idea,” “my team,” “my way.” my this “ my that “
It often centers ego ,control, attachment, or the need to be right or feel powerful
	•	Authenticated language sounds like “our progress,” “the work we’re doing,” “referring to things as “our”especially in a team dynamic, using inclusive language is very important
It reflects humility, shared purpose, and emotional intelligence.

The world around us — and the people in it — mirror back the energy we put out. When our words are rooted in collaboration instead of possession, we create more trust. More growth. More alignment and more success.

Lead with intention in every conversation.
Speak to connect, not to control.
Use language to open doors, not build walls.
Because the strongest leaders don’t need to say “my”
They build something worth calling “ours.”…… by @lisalan333

I don’t think I’ll ever outgrow late-night adventures with friends , spontaneous road trips, or doing things just because .

Too often, we slip so deeply into roles—girlfriend, wife, mom, caretaker sister , daughter , employee or business owner —that we forget the most important role of being ourselves.

But without the real you the one that loves going dancing , loves going out with friends , still intact those other roles lose their magic. They become just titles if you’re not rooted in who you are beneath them all. The best friend, the best partner, the best mother and person— they all come from someone who never abandoned the one role that matters most: being themselves. When that foundation stays strong, every other role thrives by @lisalan333

Dreaming or grinding—I can’t tell . When you move with the mindset that you bring value to every play in motion, and you actually do then your whole approach becomes movement. That’s when nothing feels like work, but everything you do builds toward something greater. taken in New York, New York by @lisalan333
