You guys crack me up 🤣🤣🤣 After seeing one of my recent reels, my student and long time supporter @garyyoungberg sent me this Mona Lisa trombone image. I had the same thought myself when I saw the video 😂 I have a photo of the Mona Lisa on my refrigerator and look at it everyday, I guess it’s creeped into my subconscious. Is it in the name? 🤔 What do we think? Concept photoshoot incoming?? lol

This is my very first original song, i think i never, and this the very first time performing it live! I wrote and produced the song using all electronic instruments… minus the trombone of course 😜 so it was awesome to hear these amazing musicians interpret it live. I get so much inspiration and energy from playing music with my friends and the people I love. This was a very special moment for me ♥️ I am super excited to share more about the journey of this song with you 🎶 It’s been a long time in the making and I cannot wait to embark on the adventure of releasing my original music for the very first time! Let’s go!!!!! 😆😆😆

I’ve been working on a lot this summer, including my FIRST single and music video coming soon! 😁

But I always find time to make some solo exercises for my students. An interesting observation from this one: where I chose to play was sometimes the exact opposite from where the trombone player in the video chose to play. Sometimes it sounded like a duet even though we had never heard the other one before. This has also happened in a remote recording project I did with 2 different trombone soloists. They never heard the other persons part, it sounded like a beautiful duet back and forth and somehow they both came together on the last phrase in the most beautiful harmony ♥️ (that video is Lean on Me on my YouTube channel if you wanna check it out 😉)

Has anyone else experienced this before? I find it fascinating how differently we all phrase and choose to play a song. Thoughts?! 💭 Comment down below and tell us about it!
