The history of the historic fortress town Brielle is something you really should hear! ⚔️🇳🇱 Did you know Brielle (Den Briel) was the first Dutch town to be liberated from Spanish rule during the Eighty Years’ War?

On 1 April 1572, the Watergeuzen (Sea Beggars) captured Brielle from the Spanish without firing a single shot. This historic event marked a turning point in the Dutch Revolt and inspired other cities to join the fight for independence.

Today, you can still walk along the impressive ramparts, explore the fortified town and step back into one of the most important chapters of Dutch history.

Every year, the streets of Brielle transform into a living history book during the famous 1 April Celebrations.

A must see! 😍 Hundreds of actors, musicians and historical reenactors (citizens of Brielle) bring the capture of Den Briel by the Watergeuzen (Sea Beggars) back to life.

📍Whether you love history, culture, or simply wandering through picturesque streets, Brielle is a must-visit destination in Voorne aan Zee.

I love old historic harbor cities by the sea! 😍⚓🌊

Hellevoetsluis (Hellcity for insiders) is truly one of the most beautiful historic towns in Voorne aan Zee. It’s a place where maritime history, charming streets, water sports and coastal nature come together.

My favorite area is the atmospheric Vesting because every corner tells a story. Admire historic ships like de Buffel along the Koningskade or enjoy a relaxing stroll around the old harbor filled with centuries-old fortifications.

So, whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, cultural day trip or scenic walk by the water, Hellevoetsluis is TRULY a hidden gem on the Dutch coast.

Trying out some new things! 💄✨

First up: Maybelline New York Brow Extensions in 4.5 Ash Brown.

As you know, I’ve been plucking my eyebrows for years and they used to be so thin and arched. 🙈 Looking back, I honestly regret this trend because these days we’re all about those full, fluffy brows.. think Cara Delevingne. 🤎

So, time to experiment! 👀

Simply watching it quietly can calm the nervous system. 🙏
