School is back in session, and it’s time to book author visits and Arts in Ed programs! I am currently in the BOCES Arts in Education catalog for Nassau and Suffolk counties. My programs are for grades K - 6 and feature my Rainbow Panda book series. I am also available for basic author visits, PARP week, yoga-based programs, and author night events. When inspiration hits me, it tucks itself away in my heart and stays with me. It comes out of hiding once I’m ready to use it to fuel my creative flow. It’s not hard to see why this gorgeous site in Denmark, called Mons Klint, struck me during our visit this summer and has stayed with me ever since. And it’s not just the sheer beauty that brings inspiration. It’s the memories of being with my family here and all the joy it brought us during the visit and continues to bring as we look back on it. ✨🌈🐼

I always talk to my aerial yoga students about building trust in themselves. As they move through practice and take on poses they never imagined they could do (inversions, flips, deep stretches, etc), they realize how much more they are capable of than they thought, and it’s so inspiring and powerful to observe. I hope they take that trust and those feelings with them outside of the hammock and continue to nurture them in their everyday lives. 🕉️🌈🐼

As a children’s book author, one of the greatest lessons I have learned is the importance of writing what you know. Writing authentically, what is true to your heart, and what reflects your inner light and unique perspective on the world and life, that is what you are meant to write.
