🇬🇧 Asia and Latin America met behind the bars of Bob and Bob – The Other Side. On October 6, two guest shifts brought different perspectives on contemporary mixology to Milan: on one side, The Asian Takeover, with Alexandre Renoue from Bar Trigona, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and Mario La Pietra from Yoi, Capella Kyoto; on the other, The Latam Takeover, with Diego Macedo from Sastreria Martinez. An event that brought together cultures and ingredients from different parts of the world through the bartenders’ personal vision of mixology, featuring Presobene London Dry Gin, Brugal Rum and Noam.

Il 6 ottobre, due guest shift hanno portato a Milano prospettive diverse sulla mixology contemporanea: da una parte The Asian Takeover, con Alexandre Renoue di Bar Trigona, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, e Mario La Pietra di Yoi, Capella Kyoto; dall’altra The Latam Takeover, con Diego Macedo di Sastreria Martinez. 🇮🇹 Per una sera, a Milano, il quartiere Isola smette per un attimo di essere solo milanese. Il 6 ottobre, dalle 19:00 alle 23:00, Via Pietro Borsieri diventa il punto d’incontro di quattro storie di bar lontanissime tra loro (Milano, Kyoto, Kuala Lumpur, Lima) che per una notte trovano casa a pochi metri di distanza, dietro due banconi diversi ma cugini. Da una parte Bob, dall’altra Bob The Other Side: due indirizzi nati dalla stessa visione, quella del gruppo Chinese Box dei fratelli Luca e Michele Hu, che ora si dividono i ruoli per raccontare due continenti in contemporanea. 🇬🇧 For one night only, Milan’s Isola neighborhood is looking well beyond the city limits. On October 6, from 7 to 11 p.m., Via Pietro Borsieri becomes the meeting point for four bar stories stretching from Kyoto and Kuala Lumpur to Lima, all converging within a few steps of one another. On one side is Bob; on the other, Bob The Other Side: two bars born from the vision of the Chinese Box group founded by brothers Luca and Michele Hu, now splitting duties to tell the stories of two continents at once. The Asian Takeover will see Alexandre Renoue from Bar Trigona, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and Mario La Pietra from Yoi, Capella Kyoto, behind the bar at Bob. At Bob – The Other Side, meanwhile, The Latam Takeover will feature Diego Macedo from Sastreria Martinez. 🇬🇧 His French accent gives him away. So does Lisandru, the Corsican name Alexandre Philippe Renoue uses on social media. Behind the bar, though, what registers first is something less geographical: an understated elegance, an easy smile and a manner with guests that feels natural rather than rehearsed. After years of moving from one city, country and continent to the next, Renoue has landed in Kuala Lumpur with a different ambition.
