It was time to press the Norton Pyment this morning! This makes the end of our winemaking for 2026 except for our Pinot Grigio that is still fermenting! Now comes the fun part of tasting and adjusting (if needed) the wines. We have 9 different varietals aging in our temperature controlled wine room. Tonight's fireside wine is a 2024 Norton. And that’s a wrap. Finally done processing our wine for 2025. We got amazing juices from St. james Winery -Chardonel, Vignoles, and Traminette. We got amazing grapes from Cane Pole Vineyard - Norton and Chambourcin. We also purchased delicious juices and grapes from Musto, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. This has been an epic year for our winemaking. Almost perfect numbers and very little adjustments! Cheers to 2025! 🍷 @stjameswinery @mustowinegrapeco by @lisanordmann

Tonight’s poolside wine is a 2024 Chardonel. We purchased the juice from St. James Winery last September. It is one of our favorite wines. It is crisp, with subtle notes of green apples, pears and apricots. Good wines start with great grapes. Thank you St. James. @stjameswinery by @lisanordmann

Had the most delicious Sticky Bun at my son’s bakery, Mr. Meowski’s in St Charles. And yes, I ate it all. @mistermeowski by @lisanordmann

So proud of our granddaughter Hadley. She just played in 3 back to back tournaments in Louisville. There were some great wins and a few disappointing losses. She is a tenacious player! Tonight’s fireside wine is a gift from @mustowinegrapeco a delicious 2022 Barbera from Lanza, Wooden Valley Winery. This wine is very fruit forward, with dark cherry aroma and flavor. It is extremely smooth and approachable. A big shout out to @mustowinegrapeco for providing Missouri Winemaking Society the best grapes and juice from California. And for gifting John and me with this amazing wine. 🍷 by @lisanordmann

Tonight’s poolside wine is a wine from St. James Winery. 38 degrees North. One of our favorites. It has tropical notes with tangerine and some citrus. It is a wonderful wine to be drinking poolside. Cheers! @stjameswinery @johnnordmann by @lisanordmann

Had a wonderful lunch at one of our favorite wineries @defianceridge The Heath Vignoles and Traminette were divine. The food is excellent! The service is amazing! We just can’t wait until our next visit. by @lisanordmann

Tonight’s rooftop wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Cavit Trento in Italy. This Cabernet is very smooth with dark cherry notes with soft tannins and a hint of pepper. Our hotel room overlooks San Marco Basilica in Venice. Honestly, any wine would taste great with this magnificent view! Cheers! by @lisanordmann

Tonight’s rooftop wine is a Sangiovese Rose’ from il Cellese winery in Cispiano, Sienna. This wine is fruit forward with notes of citrus and grapefruit. It is one of the best Rose’ I have ever tasted! Our winery tour was amazing and the food delicious! Our guide Jacob from Denmark was delightful and very knowledgeable about the winemaking process. It was a memorable experience! @ilcellese_winery_villa by @lisanordmann

Our last rooftop wine in Rome. This dry Muscat is so fruity with notes of citrus, apricots, grapefruit, green apples and honeysuckle. The fruitiness brings out the sweetness of this grape. This is a great wine to drink any afternoon. Rome has been amazing. Now on to Florence! Cheers! by @lisanordmann

Tonight’s roof top garden wine is a white wine, Oste, from Frascati Doc. It is a dry, white wine that goes well with cheese and meats. There is a lot of info on the bottle but I can not read Italian! But it is delicious! We did a food tour today and this wine shop was on the tour. Cheers! by @lisanordmann
