Two weeks ago, the business I started at my lowest turned 2 and honestly, I have been holding off on posting about it because two weeks ago, I did not feel very blessed.

I kept trying to write something but every time, I just could not bring myself to do it because how do you say you are blessed when you do not feel blessed?

Then it hit me. Even when you do not feel blessed, you are still blessed.

Sometimes, we think being blessed means everything is working, the money is flowing, the plans are making sense, you are excited about the future and you can clearly see the evidence of everything you prayed for.

So what happens when you are tired? What happens when things are uncertain? What happens when you are grateful for how far you have come but still overwhelmed by where you are? Are you suddenly no longer blessed?
No.
I am blessed because Jesus already blessed me. I am blessed because He has carried me through seasons i thought id never make it out of.
I am blessed because there is a business that exists today that I started when I had very little.

I am blessed because what started as an attempt to make money became a company, a team, clients, friendships, opportunities and a life I could not have imagined when I started.

I am blessed because I have watched God make a way for me over and over again.

I am learning that being blessed does not always mean feeling good. Sometimes it looks like crying and still knowing God is good or not having all the answers and still trusting the One who does.

So, two weeks late, here I am celebrating 2 years of LIME.
Two years of building.
Two years of learning.
Two years of failing, trying again, figuring things out and somehow making it this far.
I may not feel blessed every single day, but I am.
Happy 2 years to LIME.

Maybe we should? every “overnight success” is usually years of rejection, mistakes, pivots, and lessons that nobody saw.

Nobody prepares you for falling in love with God.

Not the kind of love that comes from routine, exists only on Sundays or the one our parents taught us, that is built on fear.

I mean the kind of love that slowly changes everything.

The kind that makes you want to spend time with Him even when nobody is watching. The kind that turns prayer from a duty into a conversation. The you where can’t go a day without wanting to hear from him.

Nobody tells you that the more you know Him, the more you realize how much He has been carrying you all along.

You start seeing His hand in places you once called coincidence, or hard work. You start hearing His voice and understanding his direction. You start finding peace in situations that should have broken you and without even noticing it, He becomes your safest place.
