Pulled out my college 3rd year final project collection for Sofia to wear to @tbaymedievalfaire this weekend! What a trip to see my designs from 27 years ago on my youngest daughter!! I remember feeling quite odd as my classmates were fashion students creating contemporary clothing and here I was with a period costume collection. lol! Love seeing how my 21 year old self hasn’t fallen too far from the path, as I’m now Head of Wardrobe @magnustheatre. I’m actually a little surprised and impressed by my fabric choices ( raw silk and suede lace binding… $$$)and the quality of my sewing skills at this time. 👌 Proof that the arts are a rewarding and skill building necessity in our schooling. I learned so much from this program and took home 3 awards and bursaries. Life is strange! See you at the Faire!! #senecacollege #senecacollegeschooloffashion #renfairecostume by @lisarosedevi

The best part about travelling is reconnecting with our family! We visited the town where my grandparents are from and where my dad was born. Even though time and generations have passed, our relatives greeted us with festivities and true Calabrian hospitality. We got a guided tour of the town, highlighting the structures that have always been there, and the new improvements and murals that have gone up. Such a treat to see the beloved home of my ancestors quaintly and quietly thriving and well cared for. by @lisarosedevi

Still so much to unpack and process as we return home after a memory making family holiday! Not quite the romantic 25th wedding anniversary I had envisioned…. but romantic nonetheless. We stopped at the Chiesa di Pettigrossa, a sacred cave marked by sailors that were shipwrecked and carved stone statues into the rock as their devotion to the Madonna, before making our way across the peninsula to the east coast and Ciro Marina. Interesting to see the contrast in beach towns on opposite coasts.💚🤍♥️🌊🌊🌊This area is known for its wines and we had a wine tour booked at an organic winery, Salvatore… a beautiful space and family business, our guide and owner charmed us with the health properties of drinking organic wines and how the process differs from larger wineries. Hence, the symbol of the unicorn to mark them as unique and rare. This is the first time I was introduced to the concept of “a meditation wine” 🍷🙃…Made our way through the mountains of Silia National Park and stopped for a walk and a bite at an agritisimo before making our way to visit family. ♥️🇮🇹♥️ by @lisarosedevi

After falling asleep to a steaming Stromboli and waking up to a little tremor… we had another day of sun and sea with a Costa Degli Dei boat tour. 3 hours of beach hopping, swimming, local history.and appreciating the views along the coastline!!!!! 🌊🌊🌊Pure magic and the bluest, clearest water I’ve ever seen! Thoroughly enchanted with this part of Calabria!! Everyone was in good spirits!!!🇮🇹💙🌊!!!! by @lisarosedevi
