Reflections on leadership, life & living with intention ✨

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A week ago, I released The Return Within.

Then the photos started coming in.

From a paddleboard in the middle of a lake at sunrise. An office desk. A New York skyline.

From family, friends, colleagues, and people I’ve only just met.

Every one of them stopped me.

Thank you for ordering, reading, and sharing these moments with me. I’ve saved them all. 💗

And to those who’ve reached out to share which pages stayed with you, I’m reading every word.

With gratitude,

✨Meet the newest Rodney K Press author, Lisa Schmidt! ✨

Lisa has spent more than 20 years in corporate and agency leadership before becoming a coach and speaker. She works at the intersection of leadership and inner work, helping leaders move from the exhaustion of proving to the steadiness of presence.

Her debut book, The Return Within: Reclaiming Presence and the Power to Lead, is an invitation to remember who you’ve always been and lead from that place.

Last year, I quietly started writing a book. It became The Return Within: Reclaiming Presence and the Power to Lead.

It grew from a question I found myself asking more and more:

What happens when the definition of success you've been chasing stops feeling like yours?

It's about breaking the proving loop, letting go of what no longer fits, and returning to who you are—so you can live and lead with greater presence.

I've been practicing these lessons alongside writing them, and I still am.

I'm so excited (and honestly, it still feels a little surreal!) to finally say: The Return Within is now available on Amazon. Link in bio.

I hope these pages find the people who need them. 💛 by @lisaschmidtcoaching

The Return Within is here.

For a long time, success meant climbing higher.

More responsibility. More recognition. More proof I was doing it right.

And I was very good at it.

But eventually, I began asking a different question:

What happens when the definition of success you've been chasing stops feeling like yours?

That question became the heart of The Return Within: Reclaiming Presence and the Power to Lead.

This book is an invitation to break the proving loop, let go of what no longer fits, and return to who you are—so you can live and lead with greater presence.

I've been practicing these lessons alongside writing them. And I still am.
I'm so grateful to finally share it with you.

Blessed to be touring Ireland with my parents this week, and one word keeps coming back to me… legacy.

Walking through such historic and sacred spaces, I’m reminded how short and precious this life is, and how much our seemingly ordinary choices matter.

Where I place my attention. How I spend my time. The people I spend it with. The work I pour myself into. How I make people feel along the way.

All of it quietly shaping my legacy, one day at a time.

I’m so grateful for the reminder to move through today as the gift that it is.

How are you choosing to move through yours? by @lisaschmidtcoaching

This morning’s sunrise felt like a reminder to slow down and notice the peaceful moments right in front of us.

No matter what yesterday held, each morning gives us another chance to begin again—and to choose how we want to show up.

I’m creating this space to share what I’m learning along the way—about life, leadership, and living with greater intention.

It feels fitting to begin here. 💖 by @lisaschmidtcoaching
