It meant so much to see all the people here who contributed, in different ways, to the controlled destruction of my 20s.
Some of you gave me love.
Others trauma.
Others both.
My 20s were a very confusing mix of:
enthusiasm,
chaos,
questionable decisions,
the wrong people,
the right people,
hangovers that felt like biblical curses,
and that crazy belief that “imagine if the consequences will actually come.”

Spoiler alert:
they do.

Those were years in which I pretended to know what I was doing.
And I think, deep down, we all did.
And yet...
amidst all that chaos,
we found each other.

And that’s the part I’ll truly remember.

The endless nights.
The absurd calls.
The trips without money.
The shared existential crises.
The people who stayed.
Those who saw the messiest version of me
and decided to stay anyway.

I think that’s exactly what your 20s are for:
to break a little.
to understand who you are when things don’t work out.
And today I really don’t feel like I’m leaving my youth behind.

I’m leaving behind the need to prove something.
The fear of not being advanced enough.
The constant comparison.
The thinking that every mistake was the end of the world.

I don’t want my 30s to be perfect.

I want them to be real.
With more peace.
More intention.
More the right people.
More peaceful mornings.
And fewer messages that start with:
“Don’t get mad but...”

So thank you.

For being part of this beautiful chaos.
For helping me survive my 20s.
And for being here tonight to celebrate not an end...

but a new version of me.
