I am a book dragon, so pretty special editions really deserve a place on the grid. Am I going to read them? Probably not anytime soon lol. Buying books and reading books are two different hobbies.🐉

Happy Bookshop Day to all who celebrate! And a massive shout out to @thegrimoire_nz for such an amazing day and opening the warehouse for the first time. 🫶

🌙 ✨September reads ✨🌙

This was a much better reading month for me! I ended up reading 9 books in total, including a few non-fiction audiobooks. The Crescent City series was great! I can’t believe I waited so long to read it.

Finally FINALLY was able to go pick up my Wing and Claw copy of Threshing Day from @thegrimoire_nz and it is fabulous. I love the tiny dragons and the artwork throughout is amazing. Now to go read it.

✨ August reading wrap-up✨
I read 4 books in August, but there were a couple emotionally devastating ones and it’s fine. I’m fine. I’m fiiiine.

Grab your bestie and go on a books and bakeries crawl.
@hannabaorange and I headed to:
📍Volco Egmont Street
📍Glou Glou, Allen Street
📍Te Matapihi
📍Unity Books
📍Sixes & Sevens, Market Lane
We ate, we caffeinated, we read, we walked, we talked, we had fun.

📚Books you couldn’t pay me to…

Jumping on this trend cause seemed like fun and an easy one to pull together. What do you think? I have strong feelings about these haha

I don’t know what I’m doing but I wrote a whole review for this book so figured it deserved a post.

Some of these things are not like the others… but they still count! June and July reads, because I never got a chance to do June as we were off travelling and I didn’t read that much in either month anyway. But I had some great reading spots. I’m so excited for The Love Hypothesis movie now — the book was so cute! And I’m adding $34.91 to my book budget.

Buying books and reading books are two different hobbies, OK.

A new romance only bookstore opened in Wellington, you say? Sign me TF up. Of course I headed down to @xobookco on opening day, and even though we waited for an hour and a half to get in, it was so worth it. I’m so happy for this little space to exist. I can see myself spending a lot of time (and money!) there. Swipe through to see the gorgeous shop and my little stack, cause of course I bought a couple books, like I had to. It’s the law.

May was… not great. Getting sick for a second time took a hit to my reading. I also just haven’t wanted to do ✨anything✨ including any social media content. May added $25.04 to my book budget, but I will continue to not talk about that because delulu is the solulu. Here’s to a better June, which yes, I’m well aware that it is already half over.
