When you receive an email that fills your heart ❤️

"In the last two years I bought two of your beautiful scarves. one for my mother in law and one for my mother. They really love the scarves. This year I would like to make myself a present with a scarf."

And so we video call and decide the colours, the sea and summer vacations were the inspiration.

I just love to do special pieces for my customers.

I’m exploring junco, a traditional basketry material given by @cozartproject , bringing it into a different language through weaving. Natural material, colour and traditional patterns meet in a contemporary wall piece, with brick and green.
And behind every piece is the loom. I work on a @lojanwheelsandlooms 4-shaft loom, a beautiful and versatile tool for exploring structure, texture and materials.

Woven by hand on a traditional loom, this one-of-a-kind wall hanging brings together reclaimed threads from textile catalogues with natural fibres gathered in the surroundings of Foz do Arelho.
Golden straw and the rich brown tones of fallen palm leaves intertwine with carefully selected yarns, creating a composition inspired by the landscape.
Each material carries its own story, transformed through weaving into a unique textile artwork that celebrates craftsmanship, nature, and thoughtful design.

Depois de integrar, em fevereiro, a programação do @madriddesignf, Alinhados pela Mesma Lã chega agora à Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes, em Lisboa, com inauguração no dia 30 de julho, às 18:30.

Alinhados pela Mesma Lã nasce de um gesto coletivo, resultado da residência artística homónima, que reuniu sete artistas — @ana_so_tece @tanta.design @luisaleao.atelier @mariaterra_arte @rita_kroh @lisboncrosslights e @susanamendez.studio — em torno de uma matéria-prima ancestral, a lã da ovelha Churra Algarvia, para escutar o território, tocar o tempo e transformar a matéria. Durante meses, acompanharam o ciclo de transformação da lã, da tosquia à fiação, atravessando cada etapa com as mãos, com o corpo e com o pensamento. O que aqui se apresenta é o resultado desse percurso: uma cartografia sensível feita de texturas, memórias e reinvenções.

Promovida pelo @loule_criativo, projeto da Câmara Municipal de Loulé a residência artística contou com curadoria de @vasco.aguas, responsável também pela concepção das exposições, formação de @paulaneves_estudiotextil e a aliança estratégica com a @algarchurra.churraalgarvia. A itinerância de Alinhados pela Mesma Lã para a Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes conta com o apoio da @snba.pt e do @ceartept
