🇰🇪 KENYA POST 2: THE DREAM TEAM ✨ 💪

Assembling a group of women to take on the inaugural Kenya trip was something I prayed over intensely. Group chemistry is imperative. This group was literal perfection.

Allison, BA, Eleanor, Ida, Julie, Kim, Marly, Rachel, Tara, Tori and Victoria were a DREAM. Not a single bad attitude was had. Everyone helped in any way they could and then some.

🇰🇪 KNOWN KENYA 2026 🇰🇪

I don’t know that I’ll ever have all the words to describe the last few days (fair warning, this will be the first post of many). For starters, Delta has asked me to come with her to Kenya for YEARS. Fear and anxiety kept me from saying yes for a long time. But last year, when Delta brought Known to Kenya, I knew enough was enough. It was time.

In the weeks leading up to leaving, I was tried with every temptation to back out. I still can’t quite believe this all really happened. But now, on the flight home, I am in awe of all God did.

Kenya is beautiful and lovely and the Kenyan people are smart and wise and warm. They have captured my heart. There is something truly freeing about going out of your comfort zone and saying “Yes” to Jesus. He meets us at the places where our only surety is Him.

In the past several days, I’ve felt the presence of God stronger than I have in ages. I was reminded that I am formed for freedom, not fear. I was filled with the joy of the Lord. I was re-energized in my calling to help women find Jesus.

Known means that nothing or no one can define you, only Jesus. This is true for every woman who attends our conference each year in Florida, or Kenya, or anywhere! One moment with Jesus can do more than a lifetime of striving ever could!

🎈 HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY, ELLA ELISABETH! 🎈

My baby girl is entering her last year as a kid and I’m so proud of her! Ella loves life and holding babies and pink drinks! She is kind and inclusive to others and a true queen-in-the-making!

My prayer for Ella this year is just to continue to cultivate a relationship with Jesus! Everything else is extra!

There’s something powerful about serving together. ❤️

The Access ladies spent the day helping build a home for one of our widows in Kenya. What started as bricks and mortar is becoming a place of safety, dignity, and hope.

✨ 44 ✨

What a year it’s been! In some ways, it’s been a very “back to basics” season. Here’s a few things I’ve learned:

- Age is something to celebrate - not deny, panic and try to hide, or despise. Each day is a gift!
- Say less, show more. Or, as I like to call it, “follow the fruit.” Believe what people show you in action more than they say in word.
- Delight matters. God delights in me and I want to learn more how to delight in Him and His gifts!

I am filled with gratitude today for all the kind words you’ve shared. They have filled my cup. I know 44 is going to be filled with growth, adventure, and Jesus! Bring it on! by @lisburns
