Grief to Light - February 21, 2025 - Album Release

It's been a long time in the making. But this album has been worth it. From each song to the theme and artwork and the experiences that shaped this record, I've put my soul into it. This album also represents a departure from "folksy Lisette Lowe" towards ambient and post rock influences. I am especially grateful to @theposteverythingcollective for everyone who has directly and indirectly worked on this album and supported me the past years. Can't wait for you to hear this one! by @lisettelowe

Never has a window seat been more worth it. What a spectacular entrance to Isla Navarino! Very curious what the 30(+) hour ferry journey back out will look like, as we should be passing through the Cordillera Darwin, but of course this time at sea level. This place has become something very special to me. It is so fascinating and rich in flora and fauna, history, archeology, geography, and its people are seriously so kind. I hope the remoteness of the region keeps it on the down low for a little while longer.

What an incredible end to the summer to soar way, way above the peaks of the Alps one more time at 3700 meters above sea level! Being able to see at least 4 countries (Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany), including many peaks I climbed over the past 6 years, from the sky never gets old. Every cross country flight this time of the year feels like an unexpected encore, let's see how many the season still has in store for us!

What does a year in your life look like? Somehow, I always feel like time slips away from me, and it's hard to paint a clear picture of what I did and experienced. I took up a project to document 1 second of my life every day. To be transparent, there were a few days where I was sick or did nothing but work, where I used clips from other days, so the picture is skewed a tiny bit. And to not to stick a camera in a friend's face and aporeciate but still document the moment while respecting other's privacy was also a challenge, and maybe I'll do it differently next year. But overall, it's a pretty decent representation of the coolest, and sometimes simply the dullest or most mundane, things I did each day. Lots of hiking, flying, skiing, climbing, music, concerts, hot pot, work (yep), train time, gym time... super curious to see what the next year of my life will look like! by @lisettelowe

Women's day is a protest. Although I am grateful every day of how far I have come as an individual, and how much we have achieved collectively and how much we have to be proud of, I will always have an even fiercer fire burning in me that fights for us all to be able to live dignified and safe lives. We still have so far to go - a reality we all carry within us which statistics can represent but not fully express.

I have moved in predominantly male spaces for as long as I've had hobbies and passions, whether it be music, photography, alpinism.. it can be loud and daunting at best, and hostile or exclusive at its worst. These spaces, ALL spaces, belong to us, too. I'm so grateful to all the incredibly talented, wise, kind, strong, perservering, intelligent women who have showed me what's possible and helped me along the way, and if I can mean the same to someone even in the slightest, I know we are breaking patterns beaten into us for generations and millenia, and that is such a powerful thing. Reminding myself of this not just today, but all 365 days of the year, because besides the grief and anger there is also so much hope. by @lisettelowe
