"Leaf Roller Moth"- Available for purchase

A little study in the idea that nature might be the greatest artist of all.

The pattern for this piece was pulled directly from the markings of a leaf roller moth translated onto canvas, cinched by hand, and suspended from stained wood. I love the idea of taking something nature made and giving it a new life as an object for your home. Art imitating life, or maybe the other way around.

"Becoming”

This piece feels like a step toward finding my artistic voice. I’ve always felt most like myself when I’m given room to play, work sculpturally, experiment with unexpected materials, and let a piece evolve as I’m creating it. This was my first time exploring natural dyes, and there was something really special about letting color, texture, movement, and a touch of unpredictability become part of the process.

I wanted to give an extra special thank you to @mmkinpgh for trusting me with this commission and giving me this opportunity. I’m so grateful this is now the second piece I’ve had the honor of creating for this family. 🤍 Shout out to The Klinefelter's and the best friend a girl could ask for @katieklinefelter

Happy 2nd birthday LISH 🥹🤍

It’s crazy to think about how much life has happened inside these walls over the last two years. Birthdays, bachelorettes, bridal showers, celebrations, classes, big changes, new friendships, and so many memories. This studio has always been a place I can come back to and instantly feel a little more like myself. I genuinely never thought I’d get to call being an artist my full-time job, and the fact that I get to wake up every day, make things I love, and have people who continue to show up and support me is something I’ll never take for granted. Thankful for another successful commission 🤍

“Al Fresco” — named after a street that my client @chartrecar loved and wanted remember before her move to Texas.

“Memory of a Goldfish” 🐟 SOLD

This self-portrait was inspired by my memory (or lack thereof.) I’ve always joked that I have the memory of a goldfish, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized there’s probably more to it than that. I’ve always struggled with timelines, memory gaps, ADD, and feeling a little out of sync with the way other people experience the world.

When I started this piece, I didn’t have many answers I just knew I was struggling. By the time I finished it, I had been diagnosed with autism. Surprise!

The funny thing is, the diagnosis didn’t change a thing about who I am. It just gave me a better understanding of myself.

Selling this piece feels a little vulnerable because it represents a part of me I’ve gone back and forth about sharing. But at the end of the day, it’s just part of my story and maybe part of what makes me an artist in the first place. 🎨👩🏼‍🎨 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @lishthestudio

“In Bloom” 🌸

I worked with @christy_ix to create this beautiful orchid commission, and it feels like such a perfect reflection of her bold, and colorful. This piece pushed me creatively in new ways and reminded me how much beauty can come from hard work and trusting yourself.
