I’ve always been interested in more than how an interior looks: i want to understand how it will actually be lived in.

I’m Mila, founder and interior architect of LIS Studio, based on the French Riviera.

I’ve been working in interior design and high-end renovation for over ten years. My background combines interior architecture, engineering and business, something that naturally shaped the way I work today: balancing aesthetics with functionality, organisation and the realities of bringing a project to life.

Today, I work mainly with international clients creating homes on the French Riviera. Many of them live abroad, so a big part of my role is simply being here — knowing the local suppliers and contractors, following the project closely and helping turn all those decisions into a finished home.

If you’re planning a home or renovation on the French Riviera, feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear about your project.

Mila

Every project is different, but the way we approach it remains the same: understanding the client, shaping the space, developing the details and staying involved throughout the project.

Here’s a little look at how we work.

Before renovation work begins, there are a few practical and administrative details that are easy to overlook.

From documenting the existing condition of the property to checking contractors’ insurance and planning deliveries — good preparation can make the entire renovation process much smoother.

Renovating an apartment in France comes with a few rules that are easy to overlook.

Part 1 — what to know about copropriété before making changes.

Part 2 coming next.

Behind the scenes of our projects on the French Riviera.

The less polished part of interior design — and the one where everything starts to take shape.

Planning a renovation in France? Keep August in mind.

Many contractors, workshops and suppliers on the French Riviera take a summer break. Deliveries may slow down, and some work may pause.

It’s completely normal — just something to plan for from the start. If you have a project in mind, we’d love to hear from you.
