october is domestic violence awareness month (if you didn’t know, now you do!) and today’s OOTD is to participate in Purple Thursday🎗️💜

Purple Thursday is a national day of wearing purple to honor and show solidarity with survivors of domestic violence!

Today our team is wearing purple and we are also asking the kiddos to wear purple if they can. Why? Because young adults ages 16-25 experience the highest rates of domestic violence than any other age group! 😳

So yes its real. Yes it’s serious & yes i am a two time survivor of domestic violence! A survivor from age 15 and a survivor at age 20.🎗️

(and no if any assumptions that my husband has harmed me, he has absolutely not. I am in the healthiest marriage i ever saw myself in! 🫶🏻)

hi friends!! ive been so quiet on here because your girl moved out with the hubby over the weekend!! Im so happy, grateful & excited for this new chapter but…im also kinda sad. Heres why🏠❤️‍🩹🥹

You hear it often when moving out:
“Its different when you move in together”
“You will learn more about each other”
“Its a big change for two people”

Which are all true. But what nobody warned me about was the grief that came with leaving a place i called home❤️‍🩹

Nobody warned me about the hard time processing leaving home because of all the moving stress and suddenly it will hit you unexpectedly.

Nobody warned me that you can grieve the absence of a parent even though they are still alive here but you dont see them everyday.

Or even leaving your own family pets with your family if you can’t take them with you.

Ive studied the Word right, we know we are to leave our mothers and fathers to cleave to our husbands and become one. But i never actually knew what it felt to leave until now and its definitely uncomfortable and hard.

This is for those newly engaged couples, newly married, and any couples moving out or have recently moved out. If youve been thinking youre the only one grieving, you arent.

I pray that Gods hand touches you and that His strength and comfort holds you steady. 💛

Joy comes in the morning! Cry it out, talk to your spouses or even family. A time will come where we feel more better❤️‍🩹

days off from working on a school site means i can wear hats i usually cant wear at school for work!🤭

for my day off besides preparing for our move i took a barnes n nobles trip and continued preparing for our move! 🥹🏠 i definitely feel rested coming back to work after a four day weekend!

happy monday friends!! my week began yesterday officially with a kick off to my fitness plan for the week ahead as i continue to return to @pulsestudiola 🩰

with an upcoming move, ive been taking a step back from church to attend to my moving preparation and minister to my family and home so i was able to attend a sunday am class! Dont worry ill be back at church next week! 🤍

ive been loving this intimate studio and am even more excited for a college friend to be instructing at the studio! @alignmentbyangelica is THE core queen 😩 love her! If you want intentional learning, slow movement & ab burning her classes are the way to GO! 🥵

If you’re hesitant on trying Pilates out, i say do it! You won’t be disappointed (unless the instructor isn’t the best…but i pray that WONT happen to you!) 🫶🏻

side note ive been trying new eye patches and i actually HATED these lol 😩

happy Monday friends! Its finally chilly in the mornings so i am running with my fall outfits even though i may have to still wear short sleeved tops under my cardigans 😩🤎

To start off the new week, i finished my book club pick and am finally reading an anticipated read—“Floored” by @the.vagina.whisperer so i can learn more about our pelvic floors and start focusing on healing and strengthening it for future pregnancy and body health in general! 📚💭

For my drink, i have a goal of drinking 7 cups of water a day! So im drinking water and my outfit details are below!

happy tuesday friends! it’s still been warm in LA 🥲 but its been slightly cooler in the mornings so i can wear my cardigans again over my summer tops lol!

But as of my D.O.B. today im finishing up my book club book—will be done with it today as i have like 50 pages left! So far its a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Im drinking chamomile and lavender tea for my nerves this morning too as i woke up a little anxious and have had flare up palpitations 🙃

happy sunday friends!! come with me to take my second pilates class @doseofpilates_ in Santa Fe Springs! 🩰

your girl has officially been taking pilates classes weekly since July and to say within the past two months I not only lost weight for our wedding for the dress but ive gained more strength, better posture and more mind-body connection!

With chronic palpitations, a heated class was scary for me to even imagine because my flare ups come when my body is on overdrive in the heat, and when i saw @doseofpilates_ was a gently heated studio i thought lets try it!

And i LOVE it. Ive come twice now with @pilatesxjass and her playlist is so good for AM classes but she is so intentional on seeing everyone and correcting postures if needed. They also have couple pilates classes that i will soon be bringing hubby in the future! 🤭

So spacious in the room, the atmosphere lighting, the services, love! Come visit if your local soon!

first ever pilates video and had the chance to visit @pulsestudiola today for their first EVER class offering 🩰⭐️🫶🏻 happy opening day to the studio!

i attended their heated class today with @destiny.method and she got me good but her playlist made up for the burn 🥵🔥

Their grand opening is this weekend where they are offering free classes and vendors but its already filled up! I was able to grab a spot luckily but if you didn’t and you are local, visit them soon! This is the only pilates studio in Norwalk so you cant miss it! 🩷

finally got to pick up and start reading our book club pick this weekend and kinda nervous for the outcome already but enjoying it!! 🩶

yesterday was finally a rainy day even though it was still 80 degrees 🫪 but was able to wear the perfect dress that just complimented my book & bible!
