The Heart’s Invisible Furies written by John Boyne is the telling of one man’s story. We get to know Cyril Avery from before he was born to the last days of his life. We hold his hand through every mistake he makes and cry through every grief he undergoes. The story of one man which is a universal fit.

This is a beautiful story about the unjust prejudices a single man faces, the inevitable cyclical nature of life, the serendipity of fate, and love. It is about the good and beautiful things in life. The things we forget to reach out and grab and hold onto. This book is my good and beautiful thing.

I received this book as a gift. While I am usually skeptical of trusting others with my preference in novels, I am grateful I read it. I am grateful for having received it when I did.

I have always believed the right book finds you when you most need it. John Boyne’s The Heart’s Invisible Furies did just that. It punctured my heart, leaving a scar which will always remind me to be grateful for the things and people I have.

I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoyed reading The Heart’s Invisible Furies. I can’t wait to hear what you think! ✨

I’ve got an infinite TBR and a happy heart 🤠 This Sunday we’re going book shoppinggggg! A little retail therapy never killed anybody…

Going on an hours long book stroll is one of my favorite ways to spend time alone. Doing things for yourself and engaging in activities that keep you passionate is the whole point of life.

This week I am ecstatic to share with you my thoughts on Liana Cincotti’s sophomore novel 𝘗𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴!! 🥹 With special insight from the author, I hope you see the depth in this book as she intended.

This week we’re reminded the importance of watering the garden that is your life. Flowers don’t die overnight, but they suffer while you pay them no mind. Watering your plants may seem like a tedious task, but you do it to keep yourself happy and healthy 🪷🧘‍♀️And you do it before your plants start crying for help…

She’s a romantic. She watches the Holiday (and anything created by Nancy Meyers), she believes in happy endings, she listens to Taylor Swift religiously, and she writes romance novels. She understands the romance genre is oversaturated and that ‘happily ever after’ is cliched and expected, but she doesn’t believe the world needs any more books where the protagonists don’t find each other in the end. She writes with a purpose, never just to fill pages between paperback covers. She writes in the hope that her readers will put down her book better than when they first picked it up. Picking Daisies on Sundays, Liana Cincotti’s sophomore novel, is an ode to Taylor Swift, claiming “this is my Lover album.”

I had the great privilege of interviewing @lianacincotti in hopes of getting some insight into the mind of a beautiful book’s author. Of course, Liana did that and much more. The author is personable and friendly, like her books, she’s welcoming and engaging.
