Damned If I Do Book Celebration🖤

Kicking off my fall moderating, I am elated to announce I will be conversing with @a.m.bellefleur next week over her paranormal romance stunner, Damned If I Do.

The Literaryrobin Fantasy Masterlist📚🤎

It’s finally autumn (yippee) so my mind has turned towards the fantasy genre. As I contemplate some new books and rereads I thought it would be fun to put together a list of my favorite fantasy novels to date.

So presenting the Literaryrobin masterlist of fantasy series + novels I recommend. Some of these are more of a combined speculative type—like Silvia Moreno-Garcia who dabbles in just about every genre. I have some of her noir, horror, and historical novels as she is one of my top authors and deserved a whole section. Same for T. Kingfisher. Additionally some novels that began as standalones before getting additional books are categorized with other books by that author.

This is not an exhaustive list due to Instagram’s collage limit. There are some series and standalones I left out. Gone but never forgotten!!

August…..was indeed a month🧍‍♀️

Big work projects and my move meant not a lot got done in terms of reading. Witness Robin rock bottom (only having 8 favorites from the month).

But our cafe reopened, I celebrated a friend’s wedding, bookstore romance day was in full swing, and the moth was reborn!!

Yearning Book List (Fantasy Edition): My top picks and 36 extras to make up my yearning masterlist😈✨

There’s a certain je ne sais quoi to yearning, that indescribable something that makes a romance feel that much more real. For me yearning isn’t always the most obviously romantic line in a book. Oftentimes it’s someone opening up, calling the other person out on their shit, letting others witness their power—or them at their worst, sacrifice, and those exquisite moments of agony where the love feels unattainable.

Yearning to me is also a feeling, as in, I want to claw my heart from my chest. Lucky that so many fantasy novels have delivered this.

Whatever yearning means to you, here are some of my favorites.

Tropesick Recap💞

Mostly commemorating the fact that I wore pink on the grid. Thank you very much!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our event celebrating @laurenokieauthor’s sophomore novel, Tropesick. It’s no secret I loved this one (it’s meta, it’s filled with tropes, it’s got a tormented man), so I was thrilled to be able to make my Lovestruck moderating debut by interviewing Lauren.

Recent Reads🍂

It’s been awhile since I did a reading wrapped so here is a recap on some of my favorite reads from the last month or so. It’s summer, it’s hot, but the vibe has been moody fall reads (as evidenced by this list). I’ve been oscillating between contemporary romance and high fantasy depending on my persuasion for the day.

Consider all of these Robin recommended, hitting notes of: trauma, the cycle, GENDER, and of course….yearning!!!

Tropesick in Boston💘

I asked our events team if I could (affectionately) torment Lauren Okie right back and they said yes so mark your calendars!! August 10th is the day!!

Ever since I finished Tropesick I’ve been dying to pick Lauren’s brain + have her in to Lovestruck. So on August 10th join me and Lauren Okie at Lovestruck Books to talk all things Tropesick, yearning men, diet coke, tropes, pinot, and crafting the love stories that make you go: how can someone do this???? (horrified and impressed).

Mid-year Freakout Tag📖💫

Making being late for this two years in a row a tradition, but presenting my mid-year freakout tag for 2026.

I get immense pleasure out of categorizing and sorting items into lists so this is a trend I look forward to all year (not kidding). Spending hours pouring over my TBR is a delightful task, essential even. As with last year I am incorporating some of my unhinged goodreads reviews into this simply because I can.

With work taking up a lot of my time, I’ve had less time for reading, which is somewhat of a blessing as there were less books to choose from this year. Currently at 135 books read for 2026 towards my goal of 250!

Staff picks of the summer📚💜

We’re in the thick of the summer and I’m spending my time reading and recommending fantasy.

It’s also the season of the bone (coined by the iconic @valentine.tarot ). Aka making everyone read my favorite fantasy series, The Bone Season. There’s never a better time with book six coming out in February😉
