Her husband. Her childhood best friend. And a family legacy they should’ve left alone. 👀

Book besties, the consequences in this one come with company. 👻

In HAINT by Brya “Gatsbry” Arcement, Gillian returns to her Louisiana family home after a devastating betrayal—and steps into generations of conjure knowledge. What follows is a supernatural reckoning.

Send this to the friend who needs a little revenge on her Halloween TBR, then come get your copy from Literature & Libations. 📚

A celebration of words, stillness, and stories. ✨

Creative Stillness, our debut anthology published by @gatekeeperpresspublishing, found its place at @culturecon alongside Agridulce, our founder @dhayanalejandrina’s debut collection of poetry and prose. It was an honor to be part of the bookstore experience brought to life by CultureCon and Literature & Libations (@literatureandlibation) a beautiful meeting of literature, culture, and community where stories find their people and words become part of the culture. 🤎📚

I am so incredibly thankful for the warm support and genuine interest in Instigated By Heartbreak: Kintsugi Through Poetry at CultureCon.

From page one written in February of 2025 to almost the end of its debut year coming up in November, the immense gratitude I feel to each and everyone who has chosen to add this story to their bookshelf is incredible. I kinda wanna cry.

A special shout out to @literatureandlibation and @culturecon for making space for some Dope Black Books.

Still taking it all in. ❤️🥹✨

There is something so special about watching the words God placed in your heart travel beyond the pages you once held so close. *Pieces of YOUR Heart: where poetry & therapy become one* was created for the healing, not the healed, and being able to share the heart behind this book, connect with people, and watch others discover my work was a moment I will never take for granted.

Immense gratitude to @culturecon and @literatureandlibation for creating space for stories, creativity, and voices like mine to be seen. Thank you for allowing my words to take up space in a room full of dreamers, creatives, and storytellers. 🥹🤎

This is more than a book feature for me. It’s a reminder that the gifts God places inside of us still have life, purpose, and the power to reach people we haven’t even met yet.

To everyone who stopped by, picked up my book, asked questions, shared a moment with me, or simply showed love — THANK YOU. You reminded me why I started.

From my heart to the world, one page at a time. ✍🏽📖

Still taking this all in… 🥹📚

I had never heard of CultureCon before this opportunity, but once I did my research, I knew I needed to be in the room.

But I didn’t just get in the room… my story made it to the shelf.

Seeing Given Up on Purpose in the FIRST official CultureCon bookstore, curated by Literature & Libations, watching people pick it up, ask questions, purchase it and allowing me to sign their copies—MAN! 🙌🏾

A story birthed from some of the most painful parts of my life is now traveling across the country and around the world. What I once wondered why I had to live through, God is now using to help somebody else live through theirs.

And I have to give flowers to CultureCon’s founder @imaniimani I watched you listen to feedback—the good AND the not-so-good—respond, pivot and make adjustments in real time - and with such grace. I’ve always said, “The greatest room in all of our lives is the room for improvement.” Great leadership isn’t afraid to enter that room.

My sister, you have the blueprint. 👏🏾 BLACK EXCELLENCE!

To @literatureandlibation THANK YOU for making room for independent authors and allowing Given Up on Purpose to be part of history.

I’m overwhelmed. I’m grateful. And I’m excited about what’s next.

@culturecon @cultureconcollective you owe me NOTHING!
Brooklyn, you owe me NOTHING! 🗽

The message is moving. The story is traveling. 🌎📚
