An ice princess and a stormy prince fall for each other in this forced marriage, enemies to lovers, Romantasy.
Featuring magic, politics, a major plot twist, and a slow burn romance it was nice to read a Romantasy novel that was just different than the many others in print. @leenakazakbooks did an incredible job building a love story with great banter, romantic scenes, and emotion you could truly feel…personally I also really appreciated this was a romantic romance not just smut.

Standalone novel from her POV and a companion style novel from his! Start with Between Tides and Thunder for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just finished Off-Campus and need another sports romance to binge? If you’re missing Briar U, you need to check out my fave, Rebecca Jenshak. Her books have the ultimate mix of witty banter, swoony athletes, connected universe, and top-tier romance tropes. Swipe through to find your next obsession depending on your vibe.

bestsellers list 🤝 jenna's all-time favorite books

1. who would we be without strong women? both passages take on different narratives of women trying to live in and build from a world built by men. both incredible in their own right, but empowering when read together.

2. the book Atomic Habits immediately dominated shelves everywhere, reshaping the way we think about our day-to-day lives. Trying Not to Try is something i picked up a decade ago from a rumage sale and i find myself frequently coming back to it for advice. both are incredible reads for self-improvement.

3. Stephanie Land's writing is untouchable, or so i thought until i read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn recently. they both offer similar writing styles. from counting pennies to achieving generational education success, both reads are awe inspiring, cry-worthy, sometimes gut wrenching, and emotionally heartworming. truly my two favorite reads.

4. while these two books don't share much in common, besides inner self discovery, i found after consuming The Body Keeps The Score i needed a helping of kindness for dessert, which Radical Acceptance fed me. both reads offer their own unique, amazing, and scientifically-backed research on understanding and coping with trauma. TBKTS taught me things and RA helped me handle them.

have you read any of these? by @litintheburgh

this book was.....interesting. history, feminism, mystery, crime, and family reminiscents all in one. on one hand, the story swaps continuously and i think loses its plot as each chapter is broken up into half a dozen different parts. one second it's about the fire, the next second it's about a suspect, then there's a brief tidbit about the national library systems early days and how it battled feminism, and lastly it ends by the author talking about how fun it is to take their son to the library. it's like 6 different books in one and not in a good way. overall, it was an interesting read and i genuinely learned a lot about the Los Angeles Central library fire of 1986. i would have read each of the 6 books individually, but could not get into them all as one together. sadly, this is ☆☆ 1.5/5 for me.

Got super lucky that the library had book 2 of the Ever Seas available less than 12 hours after I read book 2 in 4 hours and then I immediately bought book 3. Romance, enemies to lovers, political intrigue, friends who become family - this one checks all my boxes. 5 stars

ohhhh my gosh i am BACK(ish). this last year of college has really kicked my b*tt and has left me with little reading time, but here we are! i picked up this book from B&N over holiday break and recently found the time to read it in snippets. ugh, im so glad i did. my eyes needed a nice book to rest on for a bit!

thankful for @virginia.l.evans for writing such a great book and also for my boyfriends mum, who always gifts me a @barnesandnoble gift card at the holidays! 😅🤍 happy reading!

between Spotify audiobook sessions listening to Sandwich by Catherine Newman, i had to put on Landslide because that's literally what this book is about - UGH! the yearning for the past, the difficulties in facing the future.. watching the people you love (in this case, her children and parents) growing older, into the people they're supposed to be and sometimes falling out of the people she knew.

i might not be a middle aged mom like the main character here, but i loved this vulnerable take on feeling "Sandwiched" in-between younger family and older. how do we accept the people we loved as children are now going to college or have children of their own? how do we accept the changes our elder family members go through, purposefully and against their will?

this book was so wonderful in many ways, i highly recommend! (with a side of Stevie Nicks, of course)

I'm truly soo in love with this read right now! If someone knows Anne Roiphe, please let her know I've been searching everywhere to find her and thank her for such a unique read. While I might not be retired and widowed (quite the opposite actually - working and never married lol), I loved her perspective in this book. The wit and emotional transparency of Anne make me excited for the future.. To grow old and never lose our sense of self is the greatest treasure I didn't know I could find.

The Bone Orchard
Okay not my usual read but that one friend of mine with impeccable taste recommended it. I was lucky enough to find a copy @mtlebanonlibrary Book Cellar during the @pghbookcrawl. And I’m glad to report her taste remains impeccable.
Set in a fantasy land with a magic court member who’s able to build life from bones. Charms faced with tough choices between justice and freedom. I really enjoyed how the bone “children” had her own personality. I enjoyed the characters but the who’s on who’s team was my favorite part. The ending was so satisfying. I haven’t read a book like this before and I’m definitely trying not to spoil anything - but I highly highly recommend this one

One of my favorite pieces of media last year was “I, Tonya”. So when I saw a book about figure skating competition I had to pick it up.

It was high stakes, sports, drama, and a life story. The main character was compelling and I found myself rooting for her even in the face of self-sabotage. The book really asks far would you go to win and who would you be willing to lose? Supposedly this is a retelling of “Wuthering Heights” if that’s your jam. I loved the style of story telling and I think if you loved Daisy Jones and the Six, you will too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Sarah

ps. I read 95% of my books on @libby.app on my IPhone 13. How do you read?
