A time for healing.

We planned an epic Christmas trip chasing rivers, views, and trout all over eastern Oregon.

What we ended up with was eight days in beautiful places honoring our best friend.

Lots of grief and tears, but a few smiles and a few trout too.

Thank you all for your condolences in this difficult time. Extra special thanks to @nwffo @zacharycarothers and @gnarfly for taking the time to show up, share some hugs and spend some quality healing time on the river. 🖤

We miss you Carlton. taken in Oregon by @littl.foot

This is not our typical post with cool truck and camper builds.

We post today with an exceptionally heavy heart.

Carlton, who many of you have come to know and love as the PACup shop dog- who I personally knew as my best friend for the last 15 years of my life, who followed me to 29 states and so many summits, tragically passed on Christmas morning.

Later, when we feel up to the task, we will share a more in depth memorial post.

Carlton was so much more than a pet. He was my best friend, and he touched so many of your lives too. If you were lucky enough to meet him you already know.

Godspeed Carlton. We will miss you always. 🖤 taken in Bend, Oregon by @littl.foot

One of the last big builds completed by yours truly and @drewdavis36 This one was a fun build for a French couple headed across the USA, South America, and Asia.

We are stoked to have been able to found @pacific_upfitters to continue building awesome rigs like this! If you haven’t already, head over to our shop page and give us a follow! ❤️ by @littl.foot

So many new things for the GX! The new Evolution V2 from @gofsr just might be my favorite addition yet. A true four season tent that sets up and packs down in just under a minute. If you’re always on the move like us, and you need a quick pitching premium option with the most comfortable mattress in the industry, look no further!

Much more to come about this soon! What do you want to know about the new @gofsr Evo V2?

I truly want to thank everyone who has reached out and contributed financially, or just with some kind words for Carlton’s upcoming surgery. We are blown away by the show of support, and to know how many of you share our love for our best little friend!

Carlton’s salivary Gand surgery is scheduled for April 10th, and we are just over half way to our goal! So, if you haven’t already, click the link in our bio to contribute. Any contribution helps!

While he is just a little Boston Terrier going on 14 years old, he has probably summited more 14ers carrying his own food and gear than most. He has been to 27 states, he has slid off of a 13k’ pass in the Maroon Bells, and most importantly he is EVERYONE’S friend if you’ve met him (as long as you’ll throw a ball for him).

Thank you again to every single one of you! ❤️ by @littl.foot
