Happy Gotcha Day!! 🥳🎊🎉🥰❤️

Exactly 1 year ago, this crazy lady named Roxy came from Slovakia to her forever home in Germany!

She was a stray and was together with a dog friend (I’ve never found out what has happened to the other dog) when they found her. She loves people and whatever she was doing as a stray, I think people were good to her.

Someone named her Roxy and I thought, this name fits her perfectly! 😄

She has learned a lot and is always willing to learn more! We’ve come a long way! ❤️

Today, Roxy jumped on every rock she came across (there were a lot!) 😄❤️

When I first adopted her, I taught her to jump onto rocks. She didn’t know she could do that, so we turned it into a fun little game. Ever since, she’s done it whenever we come across a rock.

Today was the first time in weeks after her time in the vet clinic that she did it again, and seeing her do this made me so happy! It feels like normal life again 🥹❤️

Well done, Roxy! 🥰

Today in pictures. So happy we can finally use the longer leash again and Roxy got to run for the first time in a while 🥹 The stitches are out and everything has healed nicely. She’s still a little too skinny for my liking but we’re working on that. ❤️

I had absolutely no doubt that she’s a German Shepherd! I really thought she’s a GSD/Corgi Mix though 😄

Since Roxy is back home, she sleeps a lot. Two weeks away in an unfamiliar place with a lot of strangers while not understanding what’s happening… That was just too much. Also, two surgeries in one week can do a lot to a small dog.

Now back home she knows she’s safe, there’s no stress and she can finally rest and let that guard down ❤️ I made sure we have our normal routine back, which helps a lot of course.

Other than that she’s 100% herself! Loves food and treats 😄 Destroys her toys 🙈😅 Loves her daily walks 🥰 Loves her cuddles and demands more 🤗❤️

We got this fancy pyjama onesie from the vet clinic which is a liiiittle too big 😄 She wears it at home only.
