✨ life update ✨ aka why I disappeared + photo dump

i didn’t know what and how to say what i’m gonna say or if it’s even “appropriate” for me to post it but here i am. the only reason for which i decided to write about it is because i saw in action how helpful it can be to others and how helpful it was for me to see other’s perspective and experiences 🫂

couple weeks ago i was officially diagnosed with combined adhd and not only that my psychiatrist said he thinks i might be audhd 📑 i suspected that i’m neurodivergent for 4+ years now so finally deciding to reach for help and getting diagnosis was quite big for me and made me disappear from social media.

i decided to try medication and… it changed my life. it shocked me, made me happy, sad, angry, furious and in the end i didn’t know how i felt. “so this is how normal people feel?”, “not every little thing feels like the hardest task on planet earth?”, “people can decide what they think about and don’t have thousand tabs open in their heads”?

it was hard. just plain chaos of happiness and grief that still lasts. i know how helpful it was to see people describing their journeys so it felt important for me that i will mention part of mine as a neurodivergent psychotherapist. because therapists can be neurodivergent and still can be good enough. because neurodivergent people are enough 🤍

🍂 twilight anniversary edition 🍂

I know this book is out for quite a time now but I only got it couple days ago. I read Twilight in Polish but I really wanted to have English copy to read it in its original form 🥹

This edition is magical and I’m really curious if I will experience the English version similarly to the Polish one 🧸 Twilight will always and forever be the ✨ feeling ✨ for me. This blue hue just gives me the feeling no other movie ever gave me.

🍂 hello september 🍂

my fav season of all. i remember when i was a young kid, autumn was my least fav season and now i literally cannot wait for it every year. decorating my house is always one of my fav parts ☕️

it just feels like the only season that allows you truly slow down and the pressure of every day feels just… less? of course there’s nothing better than reading cosied up in a blanket with the sound of rain in the background with cup of hot chocolate in hand 🥮

✨ july recap ✨

it was a busy and very fun month! still a lot of changes and learning myself during meds tritiation period but i am finally out of the reading slump. it was so hard for me to make myself sit down and read… but i finished quicksilver this month 🤍

i also celebrate my gf’s and my b-day, went for many walkies, played loads of piano and ate atrocious amount of amazing food 🍲

and yes… i went autumn shopping because i am that girl. that annoying one who thinks about twilight and falling leaves in July 😅

🧊 quicksilver by callie hart 🧊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25/5 stars read 🤍

i really loved this book and actually liked both fmc and mmc. i really loved the tension between Saeris and Kingfisher and i personally didn’t think that he was THAT horrible to her as some reviews state. the plot was quick paced and i really like the magic system! also, special mention for Carrion because i really enjoyed him as a tension release and many times he was smarter than our main characters.

something that influence my rating negatively was the fast change between enemies to “god bound” lovers. it happened too quickly for me and definitely influence how much i enjoyed the book. both Saeris and Kingfisher are similar for me… because how Saeris didn’t actually try to speak to quicksilver and Kingfisher after living 1000 years was stupid enough to trust Malcolm and had a deal with him????? that was just unrealistic?

i definitely recommend this book and i can’t wait to start brimstone!!
