Best Of Both Worlds is an act where one can feel stuck and struggle between two worlds. I feel too Lebanese in Sweden, and too Swedish in Lebanon.
This act shows that despite the world's differences and cultures, you can get the Best Of Both Worlds and these Worlds creates your identity. (Swipe to see a snippet of my big struggle between 🇸🇪 & 🇱🇧)

Nowadays feel so much connection to 🇱🇧 and I wish everyday for a better day for all civilians. Please save Lebanon.
I see a light 🕯️

Best Of Both Worlds have been performed two times on stage, Burlesque Bingo with Tip The Velvet (@tipthevelvetburlesque
) and with Tease Easy (@tease_easy ) at RendeVouz (@rendez.vous.club )

This act could not have been possible without @ember.raven and I am so thankful for all the help, tip and valuable lärdomar on how to create an act.

And I am so thankful for @thezizibuffet
and @fifi_fever_burlesque for organising @rendez.vous.club . I had then recently moved to Stockholm and felt very welcome in the Burlesque community in Stockholm.

Thank you, and remember, you are the best of Both (or more) Worlds.

"May your performance always be as green as cedar and as white as snow" a quote from my uncle when I told him about my debut act "Best Of Both Worlds"

Going from eating my feets and hands to stand on stage and use my hands to hold the flags of 🇸🇪 and 🇱🇧 (swipe to see the beginning of my act where I involve 🐸)

My act celebrates one year.
Best of Both Worlds is an act that represents me and myself, who is born and raised in Sweden with roots in Lebanon.
One feels misplaced sometimes and different in both countries and you start to question your identity. You are too Swedish in Lebanon and too Lebanese in Sweden.

I know I am not alone in this. Many people around the world share similar upbringing and surely the same feelings about identity towards the county one is brought up in vs the country ones roots are from.

We are so many Lebanese over the whole world that are born to parents that left Lebanon for a future for us kids, and seeing your Lebanese parents country nowadays makes me feel more connected to Lebanon but also heartbroken.

I am sharing some pictures from Lebanon and Snow from Sweden. Generations from my Jeddo🕊️ and Teta 🕊️ to my mother, and to me. And a visit to abouna George at Deir El Nourieh ⛪
And look how happy I am that behind me are a bucket of banadora 🍅

Writing this and choosing pictures made me tear up a bit. Please save our beloved Lebanon. Even though my longest visit to Lebanon have been 7 weeks in a row, I see Lebanon as my country, and even more now.

We have a wish want to come back to Lebanon and discover our roots and it's beauty❤️🙏🏾😔

Ett av mina senaste projekt får äntligen se dagens ljus!

Jag visste att idéarbete, foto och retusch skulle ta tid – men hur många timmar jag skulle lägga på layouten var jag inte riktigt beredd på.

Men måste säga att det också var sjukt kul att få grotta ner sig i den delen ^^

Jag fick för det mesta fria tyglar, både när det gäller typ av magasin och innehållet på omslaget, så det blev en mix av olika uttryck.

Bar & smak är från förra året – resten är helt nytt.

Last evening in my 20s, let us re-embrace some chapters 🩷🪩
I am thankful for all the colours I've endured throughout my life

I edited these pics in the instagram app and it has been crashing many times (⁠╯⁠ರ⁠ ⁠~⁠ ⁠ರ⁠)⁠╯⁠︵⁠ ⁠┻⁠━⁠┻
