Learning to explore the world can be so exhausting when you’re 7 months old 🤭🌸

Willow has been loving exploring her @littlechick.au Montessori Busy Board 🤍 Little hands, big discoveries 🥹

As an Early Childhood Educator, I love finding toys that encourage learning through play — and apparently Willow approves too… even if exploring requires the occasional rest 😂🤍

I was kindly gifted this Magnetic Routines card set and it’s been really helpful for us.

I’m a teacher and a toddler mum of two and our mornings and evenings during the week can be difficult to manage because we’re so tired. It’s been really helpful to use the stars to make sure we’ve done everything in the morning before we leave, mostly to help teacher some responsibility to my toddlers, and to help us know what’s next in the evenings which helps us avoid arguments when we’re all tired.

I recently read a research paper about children who have responsibilities in the home (like feeding a pet etc) have higher confidence, work ethic, empathy and a higher self worth.

Another Aussie business I love!

Honestly it’s hard to choose a favourite part but the fact that it’s Australian, or that it folds flat, or that the other side is a magnetic blackboard are all fantastic.

But here my 18 month old and my 3 year old are playing together which is another part I love.

Have you tried a busy board? I love that this one is multipurpose and is so easy to store.

POV: you finally finish the playroom and your toddler immediately makes the new busy board her favourite thing. 🥹🐥🤍

A little reminder that sometimes the best play is the simplest kind — sitting together, exploring, laughing and letting them figure things out at their own pace.

Watching Ayla discover her Little Chick AU busy board for the first time was honestly the sweetest. 🥹

And yes… Mum had to have a play too 😂

I think we can safely say this corner is officially a HIT! 🫶🏼

As a busy mum of 5 children and an Early Childhood Educator I am always looking for new ways to incorporate less screen time. So when I came across the Montessori Busy Board from @littlechick.au, I knew this was something that I would love to explore. I was right. Not only was it very engaging for the kids it also kept them entertained whilst I was busy doing night time jobs. Anything that encourages hand eye coordination, creative play and cognitive skills is a win in my parenting book. We’ve been loving the little chick Montessori busy board for those little moments of quiet, focused play. 🐥🌞🙏

Keanu can spend so long exploring all the different features, and I love that he’s learning practical, everyday skills without it ever feeling like “learning”.

The little book is the busy board's bestie! with ideas for extending the play is such a lovely extra, and the magnetic chalkboard on the back with chalk + wiper means there’s even more to discover 🥹 🌼

A simple little activity that keeps growing with them as they learn new skills. ✨
