At least 95% of our flowers and foliage are from Aussie farmers like these legends. Not only is it better for the planet to buy locally grown, it also warms the cockles of our heart hearing their family stories when we get chatting at market or are lucky enough to have a little trip out to one of the farms. These farmers are honestly some of the toughest and hardest working people you'll ever meet, a total inspiration. Winter poppies are here, and they travel a long way to get to you. A family farm in the Southern Highlands, picked early in the morning while they're still in bud, then straight to our warehouse and out to Sydney doorsteps the same afternoon.The bud thing is intentional. Give them a day or two in the vase and you'll watch them open — one by one, at their own pace.
