Meet Jaimi | Owner & Centre Director

I've been in the early childhood education and care industry for just over 10 years with my passion remaining the same as when I started, putting the children first and supporting magical learning opportunities. Since having my son this passion has grown stronger and I've found my knowledge has furthered in a range of areas since becoming a mum. My journey has been shaped by incredible children, families and educators who continue to inspire me every day. Building genuine relationships, creating meaningful learning experiences and fostering a strong community are at the heart of everything we do.

Little Haven was created with a simple vision: to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children thrive, families feel a true sense of belonging, and every child is supported to learn, grow and flourish.

My husband, son, chocolate Labrador Rufus and myself love to spend our weekends going for walks, playing at the park or spending quality time at home cooking or reading lots of books (we listen to a lot of The Wiggles too - I'll be sure to sing along with your little ones).

Little Haven is my other baby and we can’t wait to welcome and hope that when you walk through our doors, it truly feels like a home away from home.

Meet Ash | Founder & Managing Director

Welcome to Little Haven Early Learning Centre - I'm so glad you're here!

I've spent over 12 years in the early childhood education sector, and throughout that time, one thing has always remained - my passion for creating environments where children feel safe, valued and genuinely excited to learn.

Little Haven was born from a dream to create more than just a childcare centre. I wanted to build the kind of place I would choose for my own family - a place where children feel a true sense of belonging, families are welcomed, and educators are empowered to make a meaningful difference every single day. Every decision we've made has been guided by that vision, from our beautiful learning environment nestled within Heathmont's natural landscape to the incredible team we've carefully brought together.

When I’m not at Little Haven, my life is all about the simple things. You'll usually find me walking in nature with my husband Nick and our puppy, Boston, baking sourdough, reading a good book, or pottering in the garden. I think that's one of the reasons I love working with children so much - they have a wonderful way of reminding us to slow down, stay curious, laugh often, and find joy in the little moments.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me, I can't wait to welcome your family to our Little Haven and share this special journey with you.

Little hands connecting with the land around us 🌿

There’s something so special about slowing down, reaching out and feeling the textures of nature.
The rough bark of a tree, the softness of grass and the earth beneath our feet all provide meaningful opportunities for children to explore, discover and connect with the natural world.

At Little Haven, we believe that fostering a connection to Country from an early age encourages curiosity, respect and a sense of belonging. Through these simple, everyday moments, children begin to develop an appreciation for the land and the importance of caring for it.

The wait is over… WE’RE OPEN!

After months of planning, preparing and pouring our hearts into every little detail, we are so excited to announce that Little Haven will officially be opening our doors on Monday 19th October!

Hi families!

I’ve been in and around the kitchen for as long as I can remember, and cooking has always been a passion of mine. I love cooking, baking and getting creative with new dishes. I’ve completed a Certificate IV in Patisserie and, throughout my career, have had the opportunity to work in a variety of kitchens, learning and training alongside some amazing chefs.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing children enjoy the meals I prepare and watching their excitement as they discover new foods and flavours. I’m passionate about creating delicious, nutritious meals and providing fun, positive food experiences that encourage children to explore, learn and develop a love for food.

I am looking forward to being part of the team, getting to know all the families and creating many fun and engaging food experiences for the children!

Hello families!

My name is Chloe and I am so excited to be joining the Little Haven team as a lead educator! I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 2022 and have completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

I chose this career because I love making a positive difference in children’s lives. I enjoy creating a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to be themselves. I feel very lucky to support children as they learn. I especially enjoy getting to know each child and their family, while building strong relationships.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, going camping, enjoying movie nights and making special memories with the people I love.

I am looking forward to meeting all of the children and families at Little Haven and building connections with them!

Join us for a fun filled morning at Little Haven!

This Friday, we’re extra excited to welcome Jen from Happy Feet Fitness as our special guest! Jen will be joining us at 10am for a 45 minute session for some movement, music and lots of fun for our little ones. The weather is going to be beautiful and our outdoor area will be set up and on offer for your little ones to explore!

Hi, I’m Brittany!

I’ve been working in early childhood education for over 12 years and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I’ve spent most of my career teaching kindergarten, which is definitely where my passion lies.

I love creating fun and engaging learning experiences, following the children’s interests and helping them build their confidence and independence. Building strong relationships with children and their families is also a really important and rewarding part of what I do.

Outside of work, I love keeping active, going to the gym, hiking and spending time outdoors. I also love spending time with friends and family, and with my two cats at home, Benny and Jasper.

I’m so excited to be joining Little Haven as Early Childhood Teacher and Assistant Director, and to be part of the centre from the very beginning. I can’t wait to get to know all of our children and families and see Little Haven come to life.
