Meet Coral Tidewell! 🪸🪼🌊
-
@piggyinpink_ inspired me to create a SpongeBob SquarePants character, so here she is! I had a lot of fun choosing her species and (especially) drawing her hair. Coral is a florist in Bikini Bottom and specializes in “ocean plants” - she takes her work very seriously and is also a self proclaimed “marine enthusiast”. Be careful hugging her though, she might sting you! 😂💔

After a two-year-long hiatus, I’m back! I promise nothing “bad” happened, I simply got burnout in 2024 and after uploading daily for YEARS, I needed a break. Life has been busy but I recently got that “itch” to open Procreate again. I’m so grateful for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise (I’ve been a fan since I was a kid), it really inspired me to start creating again! 💖💖💖
Realm of Dreams is still a thing of course but I want to allow myself to draw other things too! Animation is expensive and managing a project can be stressful…so for now, I just wanna have fun. A pilot episode is still on my bucket list, incase anyone is wondering!
I missed you guys and I’m happy to be back and active again in the art community! 🙌🏾

Here’s an early model sheet for Ingrid Hellman, daughter of Krampus! At the time, I was working with artists to figure out her design from different angles. Of course, she and my other characters will be getting updated sheets; it’s always fun to look back at concepts! 😈♥️

Decided to revamp my Sonic the Hedgehog OC, meet the new Luna! 🌙⭐️
-
She’s now a hamster but still an adorable cafe owner! I’m big on fashion and style so I KNEW I could push her design further. I’m so in love with her look now and I’m excited to draw her with Sonic and friends…who are often her customers! Luna’s last name is now STARLING and she’s still got a huge crush on Silver the Hedgehog - only this time, she isn’t afraid to show some signs! 🥰

It’s little Coral Tidewell!
-
I had a lot of fun drawing Coral as a kid and baby…very unusual how she evolved! What’s fun about SpongeBob SquarePants is that it’s a show that takes pride in being toony and nonsensical. I love “cartoon logic” due to the possibilities being endless…and oh! Yes, Coral’s family resides at Jellyfish Fields if you’re wondering. 👀😂

Gift for @piggyinpink_ ! Drew our SpongeBob SquarePants characters Jelly Bigfin and Coral Tidewell together. I had so much fun with this and I can imagine that Jelly would be a frequent customer at Coral’s flower shop. Coral has a ton of different plants and decided to show Jelly her collection - I love the idea of them being friends! 🌸💐🌼🌺

Surprise! Helladonna is no longer a cabaret…but now a CIRCUS TROUPE! 🎪🎡😈
-
And Milo is now a clown! I’m so happy with these updates, I feel it was always meant to be this way. He looks adorable and I can’t wait to share more on his backstory soon! Also, please know he’s still the same pink, flamboyant little guy we all love, only his occupation changed. 🎠🎈
-
Once upon a time, back in 2015 (before I started sharing my work online), “Realm of Dreams” originally had a circus! I ended up scrapping the idea since I thought it didn’t fit, but after brainstorming recently, I realized this was EXACTLY what I wanted to do with my story! I can’t wait to share more about the Helladonna Circus troupe and their role in the main plot.

Meet Dorian Blackwell, Milo’s personal bodyguard! Dorian is an old “Realm of Dreams” character that I decided to revamp and bring back! He was originally Ingrid’s bodyguard a few years ago but I decided to drop that idea. 🎩🌀😈💙
-
Dorian was so fun to draw due to his longer arms; his coat also helps give him a cool “monster” look. I love giving my demons their own “signature” features, it helps them stand out from each other!
-
Dorian takes his job very seriously…mainly due to the fact that he has romantic feelings for Milo. Milo’s boss Tabitha introduced the two to each other and they’ve been a pair ever since! Milo is completely oblivious to Dorian’s crush on him and only views him as a friend. Being a popular singer and all, Milo definitely has a LOT of options…so this won’t be easy for Dorian. I’ll share more about their dynamic soon!

Here are the FINAL designs for Ingrid and her crew! I decided to repost this lineup since I made some revisions and tweaks; I’m so happy with them! ❄️❄️❄️
-
I also included new, canon bios on a few slides for the crew! I plan to get them all new turnaround and expression sheets too. The pilot episode script should be finished next year; I took a break from writing for a while since I wanted to still work on the lore and world-building but now things are locked in!
-
Story Plot/Summary:
“Realm of Dreams" is a Christmas inspired, horror dramedy that follows Ingrid Hellman and Carrie Claus, two unlikely friends who happen to be the daughters of Krampus and Santa Claus. After a soul contract deal, the girls team up to save Christmas due to it's dwindling popularity in the human realm.
-
If you have any questions about my project, feel free to ask in the comments below! And as always, thank you for your support!
