Today is #dayofthedead for pet’s and I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge Ben’s recent passing on September 8, 2026. not a day goes by that my heart doesn’t ache for you. Not a morning passes without me missing our rituals. Today the veil is thin and I hope you can feel how loved you still are and will always be. #petgrief #petgrief #daypfthedead #dayofthedeadforpets 🪽🕊️ BEN 4ever by @littlenycshitz

Grief and loss. Whether of parents, pets, a job or a relationship; loss leaves you shattered and putting one foot in front of the other can seem insurmountable. Getting out of bed is that metaphor for all of that. The pain becomes the prison that is our mind but thank god for pets, thanks god for them needing us loving us and wanting us. They keep us moving forward. They keep us going. #dog #petloss #grief #keepgoing by @littlenycshitz

I have been volunteering with @muddypawsrescuenyc since July 2025. Working as a dog handler, runner, adoption matchmaker and finalizer is absolutely my favorite way to spend a Saturday. Every Saturday morning adoption events are held in Union Square outside the Petco. Few things fill my heart up like this. Today is a beautiful October day to go find your forever fur friend. #animalrescue #rescuedogs #animalwelfare #nyc by @littlenycshitz

Happy Friday fur friends! Just remember this is unfiltered tried, true and (yes) tested pure euphoria for them 🎾 Put down your phones and go play with them. It’s their favorite part of the day! #dogplay #dogplaytime by @littlenycshitz
