What do you mean I can’t just hang out with my baby all day anymore?!? 😩

But honestly I got about 3 months of maternity leave from my company in the US, which I’m grateful for at a minimum, but it really is abysmal compared to what other countries provide.

The most impactful items that made a difference for my parenting journey. If I had to buy baby stuff all over again… these are the things I’d get again in a heartbeat. 🤍

I have a handful of friends pregnant with their first babies right now, and I’ve found myself going through my list SO often lately — sending them the things that actually got me through the baby stages and that I’m using again now with my 2nd.

Most are things I didn’t realize I needed until I was in the thick of it, and that I wish I had known about earlier or since the start.

So if you’re expecting your first, save this for later 🤍 And if you’re a mom already, tell me what you’d add to the list!

I never thought I’d be here. After only knowing abusive relationships through most of my 20s, I couldn’t have imagined having a love this secure and safe. I’ve always wanted children too but never would if I couldn’t provide a safe home and family.

Even with all the hardships, I know this life is a blessing and I’ve won the lottery indeed.

Saw this and thought it was a cute trend. I was curious to see what my husband’s responses would be. Needless to say I did request for an explanation of each afterwards 😂 and he also asked them all right back.

Baby #2 has taught me that postpartum doesn’t have to look exactly like it did the first time around. 🤍

These are things I’m doing differently this time that have genuinely made this postpartum season feel a little easier, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Just small changes that have made a bigger difference than I expected and have made it this experience both lighter for myself and my husband this time around.

I’ve been having a good laugh with my friends over this filter but in all seriousness, this is how I do feel a lot of days, especially in early motherhood, and now recently after having my 2nd.

Too big for my regular clothes, but now too small for my maternity outfits, and little time for self care?? Yep🫠

Hi! So… officially introducing myself.

I’m Anni. I’ve always wanted a little corner where I could share and express myself without worrying so much about being judged or feeling self-conscious, and I’m hoping this account can become that space for me.

Honestly, I overthink everything so much that I barely even use my personal account. 😂 So creating this felt like a pretty big step outside of my comfort zone.

I want to challenge myself to put myself out there a little more, try new things, create just because I want to, and see what comes from it.

Maybe this turns into something more. Maybe it just becomes a creative outlet. Maybe it’s a little bit of both.

Honestly, I have no idea what I’m doing yet~

I’m learning as I go, and I’m giving myself permission to be a beginner.

Currently 2 months postpartum and finding myself wanting to rediscover a little semblance of self.

As a mom of two little ones, motherhood has become such a central part of my identity. It's lovely and beautiful, but there are parts of it that feel lonely in ways that are hard to describe.

Hoping to use this space to express myself and share little thoughts, little drawings, and whatever else finds its way here. ☺ by @littlesandlines
