What an amazing school holiday program!

We’ve had such a fun (and very busy!) couple of weeks, and with only two days left, we’re almost at the finish line!

Now it’s time to get ready for Term 4. Our after-school sewing classes are filling fast, with most classes already fully booked, but we still have a few spots available.

If your child would love to learn or continue to sew, create their own projects and build their skills each week, now is the time to book.

I tested the $25 mini sewing machine from Aldi 👀🧵

One of my lovely students kindly lent me hers so I could give it a proper try and share my honest feedback.

For $25, it might seem like a great little machine to have at home, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a first sewing machine, especially for children.

It’s quite difficult to thread, it sews surprisingly fast, and most importantly, I don’t think it’s a safe choice for little hands.

Because of its small size and low price, it’s easy to assume it’s designed for kids, but this is not a toy or a children’s sewing machine.

If your child is learning to sew, I’d much rather see them learning on a proper sewing machine that is easy to control, easy to thread and has the right safety features.
