On June 28, 2026, we hosted the first edition of our Outdoor Library & Story Park in West Hollywood, featuring authors Luke Goebel, whose novel, Kill Dick, was selected as our July bookclub pick, and the amazing author Emilia Ares guided us through the conversation.

We're especially grateful for the opportunity to spotlight one of our favorite local indie publishers, Red Hen Press, and celebrate the incredible work they do.

A heartfelt thank you to the Melrose Trading Post team for their generous support and we hope you'll join us this Sunday, July 26, 2026 for the second edition of Outdoor Library.

Note: There's still space for our final book club discussion of Kill Dick. If you'd like to join, send us a message or comment under this post.

The "Outdoor Library" is coming to West Hollywood!

Our Bookclub & Chill pick for the month of July is: Kill Dick by @lukelikesglue Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles, Kill Dick follows Susie Vogelman, a young artist caught between privilege and self-destruction. Part literary thriller, part social satire, Goebel’s novel explores grief, wealth, art, and what happens when you question the world you've always known.

Thank you to the publisher Ren Hen Press @redhenpress. And Big Thank you to @melrosetradingpost for hosting the outdoor library. The first 50 guests will receive a free copy.

Please rsvp in the bio.
