Both the 1st and 2nd books completely thrilled me with the expanding, twisted journeys of Edrathen and Varantia! The addition of a new romantic subplot involving The Shadows makes the second book even more captivating and full of twists.

Thank you so much, Anette, for giving me the incredible opportunity to be a Beta Reader in addition to being part of the Permanent Street Team. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves dark fantasy woven with rich romance! ♡

September reading wrap-up! Reading these books brought new insights and taught me to see things from different perspectives—far beyond just fiction!

This is a memoir by Nadezhda Petrova, where she shares her life story — from childhood until she finds true love. It's not just a memoir, but a collection of life lessons from the ups and downs she's faced along the way.
Thanks to @npetroffa respectfully, for letting me review this book — I've gotten a life lesson from this story.

Another ARC! Thank you to Common Place for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. It's an honor to be part of the ARC team reviewing this intensely contemporary romance with a different kind of trope — a fake-dating agreement between an independent woman and a wildly famous pop star that turns into a "real relationship," rather than rushing us straight into the quarrels or intrigue of a couple's relationship.
It's recommended for everyone who loves romance and lovey-dovey vibes, though it will leave you a little annoyed too once you hit the core conflict.
TBH, I've turned into an "AshAmelia" fan club member, XD.

On top of that, there are a couple of quotes that keep running through my mind — proof I'm officially an AshAmelia fan:
"You being you, being unamused by who I am, being strong, smart, beautiful, funny—all of that inspired me to find ways to push for what I want." - Asher -

"You opened my eyes to what chasing your dreams actually looks like." - Amelia -

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Giada Carini for giving me the opportunity to read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of this book before its publication. It is truly an honor to be part of the ARC team!

The structure of the story features different perspectives through a multi-POV fantasy narrative that makes the plot firm with a steady strength-building pace. The interconnected character dynamics bring everything together, crafting a concise and precisely plotted story.
Releasing on September 15th, this book is highly recommended for anyone who loves multi-POV fantasy and romantasy!

✨ My Favorite Annotations:
Chris: "People often disappoint expectations."
Hiraeth: "You don't owe anyone anything. No expectations were forced onto you."
Lisa: "People often don't grow at the same pace as the ones they believe they love when they're young."
Kay: "People do foolish things when they're afraid."
Catherine: "Every choice has consequences."

Katie Tallo masterfully kept me guessing. She takes your heart on an emotional roller coaster from chapter to chapter. The story follows 70-year-old Lenny Bird, a reclusive grandmother with dark secrets buried in her own backyard. When her estranged grandson, Juls, is forced to move back in with his twin daughters while running from a dangerous criminal world, Lenny’s quiet life is shattered. Together, grandmother and grandson must face their pasts and stand up to a deadly threat to protect their family.
While I was a bit skeptical during the first sixteen chapters due to the slow-burn pacing and shifting timelines (alternating between the present and events from 15 years ago), everything clicked by Chapter 18. From that point on, I was completely hooked. Katie Tallo carefully weaves every detail into an unpredictable, edge-of-your-seat ending.

If you love gritty family dramas, badass grandmothers, and unpredictable endings, add this to your TBR list right now! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!

The documentary style of this book completely blew me away. By weaving together raw facts, court transcripts, news coverage, and interviews with journalists and onlookers of the time, the authors create a narrative that is both authoritative and remarkably easy to follow. The chaos and tension of the era are palpable, keeping you constantly guessing what Lyda’s next move would be.
I highly recommend Ordinary Wife to readers looking for a thrilling, atmospheric non-fiction read that packs all the twists and tension of a psychological thriller.

This is more than a true-crime narrative; it is an intimate look at how a domestic environment can inflict deep, lasting trauma. Yet amid the horror, the Knotek children demonstrate an unbreakable bond, leaning on one another to survive severe physical and mental torture.

Beyond its complex plot and well-organized pacing, this book is truly fascinating. While the central pair drives the story, the well-developed supporting cast ensures the narrative feels balanced rather than one-dimensional. All for the Power earns a solid 4/5 stars for successfully blending frustrating rivalries with genuinely sweet romance

This book truly mesmerized me. It is a beautifully crafted story that shows how Elliot and Daisy build a real connection despite both having experienced past heartbreak. Laurie Gilmore captures fantastic steady pacing and beautiful writing that makes every chapter easy to follow—never boring, but completely captivating with a sweet touch of warmth
