In 2018, Missourians used the ballot box to reject right-to-work. Everyday people organized, gathered signatures, and made their voices heard.

Amendment 6 helps protect the power voters used to make that decision and makes it harder for politicians to overturn voter-approved laws.

We are tired of politicians undermining our rights, our votes, our workers' rights, and our bodily autonomy, which are all under attack. The same leaders who stripped paid sick leave and pushed abortion bans are now trying to cheat their way into more power. Abortion Action Missouri and Missouri Jobs with Justice Voter Action are teaming up to educate voters.

Our letter—written and delivered by the community yesterday—calls on the curators at the University of Missouri to invest in their workers. It's shameful that our community's largest employer pays poverty wages! The university refuses to keep up with the cost of living, going so far as to claim that it isn't even relevant to worker compensation. These essential workers deserve $19 an hour!

Here are our community delegations that visited the businesses of University of Missouri Board of Curators members, delivering our letter to Robert Blitz's office in Columbia and to Jeffrey Layman's office in Springfield. Neither curator would meet with the community, but we handed the letter to the administrative staff and ensured it reached the right people.
